You have to be careful with Facebook. If FB Itself isn't giving access to your information they often have links to apps that are identified as suspicious or malicious websites. And yes they use the Facebook Apps address.

That includes all applications, even those we consider useful like flowers and hugs. I thought not playing the games would keep me safe, nope. Any application you use opens u up for abuse by people deeming it appropriate to use your info.

information stealing isnt the only problem, some of those links are virus programs and other unwanted computer crashers.

True FB Has issues with Apps and with it's own privacy policy. After all it has a goldmine in the members and they are making money off of their members. FB has found themselves involved in more than one Bruhaha thanks to the lax policies and oversight of their apps.
