Most of the time I was a bit skeptical to internet marketing or MMO opportunity. The numbers of scammers are growing that affect the real online business and to my disbelief only a small percentage of making money online programs are reliable. The question now who to belief and how?

Hi abuyya

You pose a very good question and unfortunately there is no cover all single answer to it.

The things I look for are as follows.

Do they say You can make thousands in just a few days?
Do they say You do not have to recruit new members?
Do they say You do not have to promote?
Do they say You do not have to sell?
Do they say You do not have to make calls?
Do they tell You all you have to do is sit back and watch the money roll in.
Last but not least after telling you any, or all of the above do they tell you Its free to Join?

If the answer is yes then I run the other way as fast as I can.

Lets look at this logically.
If it’s free to join and everyone joined for free, then where is the money going to come from to let you earn the thousands they tell you you can?

You will find that yes you can join free but in 99.999999 % of cases if you do not upgrade or if you do not bring in anyone that does upgrade (and often both these options apply) then you cannot earn.

Always do your own investigation of a program.
Can you find out who the owners are?
Is it possible to contact them?
What information does a search on their name bring up?
What information does a search on the program name bring up?
If your searches lead to forums go see what others are saying about it.
Go to some of the business forums do a search there on the program name see what comes up.

If you do not know how to look for this sort of information send me a private message I will be more than happy to assist you as much as I can.

These are the basics but there is not enough room to give a full answer here so give me a little time and I will post a thread on it for you.

Hi Bj,

I get tons of scams ...sometimes I wonder how they could think a rational intelligent person could believe any of their .... stuff. But since even rational intelligent people can fall for one of the scams, so they keep at it.

I've always wondered how they could sleep at night?

HI Bj,

Wow! I win so many lotteries every day, and inherit so many fortunes, I just don't know how to deal with it all...

Seriously, all my accounts are getting blasted with these scam emails, to the point where I just go into a semi-conscious state and send all the spam in my inbox off to Never-Never land before I even start to read the few I want to read.

I guess it beats carting a stack of paper off to the recycling depot!

God bless,

Dave

Hi Dave,

Yes email is much more environment friendly but it certainly is a major headache.

Personally I use a screening program that shows all the mail in my various email accounts. I then simply add the spam to the black list if its a new one, check the delete box and tell the program to process.
If it is a repeat its already marked as spam and pre checked to delete

Friendly mail I tell it to add to friends list the first time I get an email from the address. So when I look at what is waiting to download I see the green for friendly, Red for suspected and know spam.
Once I decide what action I want to happen to the suspected.

The program will immediately delete the garbage from the server(s) and leave only the good mail.

Then and only then do I tell my Thunderbird to go and get the email from the server(s) and bring it onto the pc. This way I am saved the problem of possible viruses as well.

In reply to the original post this is my advice and what I do...Go to your spam settings and look through to customize as you wish, but I have it set to where anything that goes to my spam box is automatically deleted. This stops (most) e-mail based viruses, I havent had any problem's since I did that one. Then mark the box that say something like "when I mark something as spam also put it in my blocked adresses. Because yes I have noticed that they continue to try until you do this. Oh and the first thing I do is go thru my box to see if there are any supicious looking mail and mark the check box, then when I am at the bottom of the page just mark it spam. This automatically delete's, blocks, and reports them to yahoo. Havent used my other mailboxes enough to get that yet. lol I am sure its coming.

I've been receiving scam almost on a daily basis lately, scam from nigeria, scams pretending to be banks (my husband phone a bank concerning that one, and the bank said they would never email someone requestiong for personal info)
so if you're getting those, you know it's a scam.
also, there's scams out there from people saying they need help receiving their inheritance of a ridiculous amount and by you helping them, they'll give you a big sum!!! how naive do they think we are????

Hi Rachel,

Yes its happening daily.
I know most of us see it only in email but it happens daily on instant messengers as well.

I get ims regularly from these no brained idiots that think they can con me into believing their c**p.

I posted this one, as it was a new one I personally had not seen before.
So that means its a fairly new twist on the old theme. The others I get dozens a day and I have become immune to them.

Just received this one...from PEUGEOT AUTOMOBILES PROMOTION stating that I am the lucky one to win a cash prize of £300,000.00 and a brand new Peugeot 407 Car.
Well I think the fault lies with some of us also, we get fallen in their trap. Even if just a single person responds to these scam campaigns the scammers get what they want and then another campaign starts. And it is just impossible to stop them .
I thinks such threads/posts are very helpful in alerting the whole community of such activities.
Stay alert!

Hi Surinder,

Yes there will always be those that will try it on.
They know that there are new people coming on the internet daily in their thousands and they just hope to catch these newbies that have not yet learned about these types of things.

All we more experienced Internet users can do is keep posting warnings and hope the new people see them before they fall into the trap.

Hi Bill,

Yes that is what I was stressing on...instead of driving all such scam mails to the junk box it would be better to have a quick look at those and use such forums to expose them and alert everybody around us.

I agree we would be wasting our time doing that but at the end of the day someone may save some money by not falling into their trap, and moreover if these scammers get no responses may be they also quit such activities.

Let's do it.

Good optimistic thought but I think we have more chance of seeing H*** freeze over before all the internet scammers stop.
