Writing in English is a challenge

I love to write, even as a child I loved to write essays.
I have no trouble to think of something and writing a sentence that makes sense......in Dutch language.
Writing in English is however, a challenge. Some term and onliners that exist in Dutch do not exist in English and visa versa.
Somebody recently gave me some links about English onliners but stupid me, forgot to bookmark those.
However I am learning new things every day. I think this group can help me developping better writing skills in English.

Paula, nice to see you jump right in! That was one of the nice things about this group. It gave us the ability to practice and hone our writing skills. We really never cared what people wrote about but that the writing was quality, and it led to some lively debates and discussions too!

Hi Paula,

When I see people struggling with English I try to cut them some slack, you are not one of those people.
You are more fluent and understandable than many people who are native (and solely) english speakers.
Be proud of your fluency and good show on striving to improve.
I don't like to be a spelling or grammar cop but just so you don't think I being too easy on you
I think you mean oneliners and you have an extra p in developing.
Keep in mind that English is a mishmash of many languages and does not have consistent rules

Glad to see you jumping in Warren! And Paula indeed does have a better grasp of the English language than most. Paule even for those of us who speak English it can be a challenge. We Americans have a different version than most countries.
