Just plain honesty
You’ve seen the ads for Gmail, Google’s own system that is supposed to make email more fun and more spam free.
But what of the Gmail customers who fill the internet with spam?
I have received dozens of Mailer Daemon reports of undelivered mail THAT I DID NOT SEND! I am absolutely sick of it!
The problem is, you have no way to report the individuals concerned becasue the Gmail ‘help’ pages are there to help Gmail users - NOT to help the Gmail abused.
Here is the latest in a long line of messages I have received:-

As you can see, the originator of this spam message is a Gmail client - but what is the betting that my email to her did not get read because HER Gmail SPAM filters would delete it?
It’s about time that large organisations made it easier to report abuse by their members so that this sort of disgusting behaviour can be reduced or eliminated.

Just plain honestyHi Cheryl and Jeunelle, I think you have missed the point that I was trying to make - I did not receive the spam - IT WAS SENT OUT WITH MY ADDRESS ON IT AS THE SENDER!   Medical Billing/Coding/InsuranceThat also happens with Yahoo. Spam goes both ways and I have received these mailer demon(deliberately misspelled) notifications also. It is a big bore and seems to be unstopable because the gmails and yahoos of this world couldnt care less. If they ever decide it is a problem, we might see some changes - but until then................ we will just have to receive spam sent out by ourselves, even though we were nowhere near the scene of the crime!! Yahoo is just as bad. I get all sorts of spam including porn in that e-mail and the majority it is not even addressed to me. And reporting it as spam does absolutely no good because they send it again with one letter or character of the e-mail address changed. Or they send it from one of the Yahoo groups. It is annoying as all get out.
