It is just as I feared.........

I have never been a great believer in the efficacy of advertising blogs at Apsense nor in the ability of internet marketers to grab a bargain when they see one.

An advert I posted recently has had eight views (I'm including those by moderators or monitors). A batch of 2,000 ads to opportunity seeking, internet marketers has seen, 532, so far, actually opening the email.

My style is to state the facts and forego the pleasure of B.S., repetition, hype, smoke and mirrors although I did use a provocative subject line to tease people into opening.

Of the 540 who saw this ad, 9 (count them!!!!!) asked for a url and 3 asked if they could join but not use the facilities. The main points of the ad explain the 'why' for this - a free share in a lottery.

Here are the salient points of my ad:-

You will get a unique hosted site, a full content management system, as many revenue streams as you care to create - for a minimum basic fee of $12 (normally $24) a year.

You will be set up with your own unique business with your own control panel.

As a bonus, each week, you will have a share of a Euro Millions lottery ticket which, for people who sign up before 11-30GMT on Friday 9th May, could be $1,000,000 because it is a roll-over week. This is a bonus that is worth more than the minimum fee.

I'm sorry if you don't like my style - I don't do hype and flummery.

Now, I, don't know about you but that package looks a good $12 (a year's) worth and should not really take much thinking about - especially for those who live in countries where it is illegal to buy foreign lottery tickets.

Someone who counts themselves as an internet marketer, knowing the value of their own, hosted web site with a full content management system and freedom to do what they want with the site, should have seen this as a no-brainer. To have a second, third or fourth (or however many it is) possible income stream at virtually zero cost has got to be worth a look - or has it?

Are internet marketers so full of their own self importance that they cannot see a bargain when they see one? Most people who read this email know me. They know, or should know, that I tell it like it is and that I really do not do hype. They should know that $1 a month is affordable - for crying out loud, most of them probably lose more than that every week without even noticing!

Maybe they don't see the value of being allied with a large organisation that is easily Googled and which is prepared to make such a stupidly valuable offer.

Not one person said "Tell me more."

Hi Joseph. I not only agree with you, but..I'm going to join you there.
It is amazing that some offers are so good, but my thinking it that they are so good, folks think that they must be scams...and let's face it, there are tons out there online & offline.

Yes, even I can affford $1.00 a month..lol.

Tomorrow is my Birthday & Mothers Day, so..I'll proably not be online tommorrow.
Oh, my first born sons birthday, turning 15. Wow, is what I have to say to that. They grow up so fast. Still remember nevously putting him into the car seat for the very first time, and bringing him home for the first time.
