I have less experience in formal Internet Network Marketing, but I'm catching up very fast... Internet innovations and Web 2.0 are truly bring me up to speed in this area...

I assume that you are not talking about MLM... That's not really my area-- People often confuse the two, They are very different...

I'm actaully finding that sound business principles actually apply to MLM. Most people want to make MLM a different thing and it is in some ways but you still need a sound business plan and marketing strategies and branding is even more important. So what would you say is the most effective way to brand.

Branding strategies will always vary according to the placement of the actual product, and it's previous successes or flops...

Point Of Purchase works for some products, Place Of People works for some, Power Of Repetition, Word Of Mouth... Consumer Usage, Wearable Items... There as many ways to brand a product, as there are products...

For example I saw a PPL associate carrying a shopping bag with the PPL logo on it a couple of weeks ago, and you, Cheryl... popped right into my mind! LOL

That's what branding is supposed to do!

Now my idea of 'Network Marketing" is an extension of Compatible Advertising, an old school way to bring down the costs of Marketing... For example:

Cheryl's PrePaid Legal + Jennifer's Invisus Direct+ Peaceful's Mozy Backup Systems, are compatible products and services.... In other words, we can actually 'Network" together under ONE Marketing Strategy.... Throw in a Home, Life and Personal Property Insurance product, and we now have ONE, perfect set of 'Compatible Offers" which can be Marketed together, as a more complete set of problem solving solutions for our perspective clients... Get Bill to build us a Website, and throw a hosting package, and I can give him free WEB Ceo software for SEO... So now though 'Networking and Marketing" we have one powerful business, that can be Branded in our particular chosen set of styles.

I have been in BUSINESS, which includes, marketing and advertising for a long time, Jennifer! :)

Even when I had formal jobs, I was always making stuff, photographing stuff, painting stuff, carving stuff, and selling stuff, since I was a kid.... It really has never occured to me NOT to be a businessman...

Us kids back then were taught to do things for ourselves before we even knew what the word 'Entreprenuer" meant... The Internet is a fantastic place to me, but I still know how to work my way around the world outside of it, where The People live! ;)

I'm laughing as I write this because I made $20.00, on my way home last night from classes, there was this little old lady who needed help with a piece of furniture, and I.. suitcoat, shirt and tie and shiny shoes and all... Helped her with it... Why did I take the money?

Because not taking the money would have offended her. She was a businesswoman who had retired recently.... One look from her said " No way will I ask a person for their Labor, and not pay for it!"

When you are experienced enough, you learn these things. :)

Sorry Jeff (blush)

AS for Branding could you give us GREAT tips on Branding.

I am thinking on buying plain T-shirts so I can create the OBA Logo and iron them on Then I can wear them all over the place

Creating Branded Items on the Internet has never been easier.... Zazzle, LuLu, Etsy and Cafe' Press are great places to create branded items for free, and sell them right on the site...

Besides T-Shirts, Shopping bags are really hot items because of the need for some consumers to personally cut down on their use of plastic bags... Even guys like the idea of a re-useable shopping bag... Greeting Cards are the classic way to bring your brand name into someone's life.., Calendars... Small books of your original poetry... anything that a person can wear, read, share with others... You'll know what Branding is all about when you can look around your own home and see how many branded items are in there...

My blog at the moment is parked while I re-configure my inventory... I'm also trying to move and you all know what pain that can be. Trying to keep a rhythm for blogging going at the same time you are doing Brick and Mortar stuff can be a chore....

But the Good News is that I can see some daylight at the end of the tunnel, and it's a welcome sight for sure! :)

Truley unique concepts for Branding.

Now you gone and doneit again. Making me think LOL

Like the idea of greeting cards. I have already made myself OBA Business cards.

Works great when someone asks me what I am doing in all my spare time I just hand them a card..

Have also created posters to hang on bulletin boards when I am out and about

Not sure how well it is working but can't hurt

Thanks for some new input and concepts
