Question about group Posting

by Dave Thomas
Dave Thomas Advanced
Am I correct in saying that when we post to one group if we want to post the same subject to another group then we have to change the headline as it will state that this subject already exists?

The reason I ask is that I just created an article that is suitable to a number of the groups I belong to and would like the facility to send to multiple groups at the same time is this possible

Regards

Dave

Hi Dave,

You are quite right. If you would like to post an article relevant to multiple groups, you need to change the subject line.

Wrote quite a nice blog myself to add to my business blogs, and received an error message that the subject had already been discussed. Yup, it's true.

Thanks for the feedback maybe this is something that Apsense could look at?

One further point what about blogs do they go out to all the groups you are members of?

But check TOS about duplicate content. I would personally post a blog which is available to all APSense members rather than do duplicate posts in multiple groups. Even though you change the subject line it is still a duplicate post and would seem to be against the TOS rules.

Not to mention if others are members of the same groups they will get a notification of each posting in the APSense Express. That can be extremely annoying when it is the same post multiple times and you can find yourself reported for spam.

Makes good sense and you have
a valid reasoning.

If this were a search engine the
duplicate content would make a
difference. Here it helps in more
than one category why have the
ability too contribute too all!

in reply to rockyP

duplicate content does NOT help ANY site.
When search engines find too much duplicate content they stop listing the site.

I used to have dozens of listings in google for my posts here.
now thanks to the spammers with their multiple duplicate posts there are not many listings left from me.
