Did you know that Twitter recently had to change their site to incorporate a search function as more and more people use Twitter to search for information on line? They go direct to Twitter rather than using Google. Twitter is increasingly becoming one of the main tools you should be using to market your business. You probably already have a twitter account. If you dont, head over to www.twitter.com and open one. I am not going to go into how to open an account as it is all really simple. One thing I will mention though is that if you have set up your twitter account using your website or company name, you may want to rethink this. People do not like to be sold to and may not follow you if they see you using Twitter for marketing. A business name is fine. You do not have to close your existing account. Just change the name and let your existing followers know. Remember that the name you choose will be used everywhere so discount Joe might not best suit your image! Twitter can send you thousands of targeted visitors so long as you follow a few simple rules and protocol. Like any social networking site, there is only one way to use Twitter and that is the right way. So lets get into it.
