Why The Hospital Equipments Should Be Advanced And Reliable?

by Sunil D. Managing Director

The quality of the hospital equipment matters as they are the reflection of its integrity. These types of equipment are bed head panels, surgical OT lights, furniture, storage units, and surgical OT tablets. Let’s learn more about them.

Hospital furniture and medical equipment

A hospital must consist of advanced medical types of equipment as it boosts the patients' faith. Also, the advanced equipment promotes health and maintains the hospital's reputation. You cannot expect the treatment of patients with traditional and outdated medical components. With time, evolution is a mandatory process that applies to hospitals as well.

The equipment a medical facility requires:

  • IVF Operation Theatre: In In-Vitro Fertilization is the facility where the process of sperm and embryo combination is achieved. Its technology should be advanced and the environment must be clean.

  • Operation Theatre: It is a specialized chamber in the hospital where surgeons perform surgeries. Therefore, the room should be sterile and sanitary.

  • Ceiling laminar flow: Mountable ceiling laminar flow allows ventilation inside the hospital room and regulates the airflow. So, patients don't suffer suffocation issues.

  • Storage unit: A hospital where regularly hundreds or thousands of surgeries are performed indeed requires a storage unit to store the equipment safely.

  • Hatch box: Hatch box has two doors that can be operated electronically. It is required in the hospital during surgeries to dispose of the waste materials from the vicinity.

  • Surgical scrub stations: The doctors follow strict hygiene processes during surgeries and therefore, clean themselves very frequently. To serve this purpose, surgical scrub stations are installed.

  • X-Ray Viewing Screen: On the X-Ray viewing screen, you can witness the results of your X-Ray. They should be advanced, to allow doctors to comprehend the X-Ray results accurately.

  • ICU Track and Curtains: ICU tracks and curtains are basic but the most significant components of the hospital. Their material quality should be immaculate.

  • Pressure relief dampers: The pressure relieving dampers are installed on the highest pressure areas of the hospital building. They are responsible for repeatedly relieving the tremendous pressure. It ensures ventilation through duct systems.

  • The medical gas pipeline system: A gas pipeline system consists of the vital gasses that the patient requires during the treatment. Some of these gases are oxygen, anesthesia, and medical vacuum. Therefore, the pipeline system must be meticulously designed and should not contain any loopholes as it can put a patient's life in danger.

  • Sealed clean room light: Doctors and other medical staff need clean room lights to treat their patients. Today's modern and state-of-the-technology develops sealed lights that look precise and vibrant.

Other hospital types of equipment are an Operating list board, OT Lights, Stainless steel swing door, an Air handling unit, and OT and ICU pendants.

Bed Head Panel

The Bed head panel works as an outlet control device and ensures the supplication of oxygen and other gases. They are most prominently used in hospital units. These panels store all the essential utilities of a patient.

There are two types of bed head panels. Let's know about them one by one:

Horizontal bed head panel:

Horizontal bed head panels are created from solid and safe materials such as aluminum and stainless steel. The aluminum is coated with epoxy-polyester powder to protect it from damage. Also, such surfaces are easy to clean from blood, dust, salines, and drugs spill. The panel is also equipped with high and low-voltage regulators.

Vertical bed head panel:

It is a round panel that is vertically positioned against the wall. The panel comprises an apt utility section where lights, gas outlets, and power sockets are installed. A nurse call button is also provided on the vertical bed head panel to allow patients to call the nurse in the case for help.

Vertical bed head panels are relatively more convenient to install in the hospital than horizontal bed heads. They are compact and save space.

Surgical OT Tables

Doctors perform the patient's surgery on the Operating Table and carry out all the procedures. Earlier, the OT tables were only stationary. However, the development in the medical field gave rise to the invention of the mobile OT table.

Surgical procedures at an OT table:

  • Cardiothoracic

  • Orthopedic

  • Bariatric

  • Robotic

  • Urologic

For efficient surgeries, the OT tables should be high-quality built. The padded material must be comfortable to allow patients to relax. Also, it should be flexible as the patients feel exhausted in a static position. So, a flexible table will help them execute some functions while they are lying.

A good OT table manufacturer ensures that the OT table is versatile. It should single-handedly deliver multiple functions. Patients while going for surgery are already worried about its outcome. However, a pleasing OT table can relieve their stress and ensure positivity.

Conclusion

There have been many latest advancements in the medical field. It has permitted hospitals to adopt the technology and provide excellent treatment to their patients. The facilities and equipment available today not only comfort patients but also ease doctors' and nurses' work. So, are you updating your hospital's equipment with the advanced ones?
