Why does earning ICF CCE Units matter?
by Powerhouse Coaching ICF certified mentor coachTo
maintain the high standards of coaching excellence set by the International
Coaching Federation (ICF), credentialed coaches are obligated to pursue, as
well as meet required education and practice criteria. The ICF’s Continued
Coach Education Units (CCEU) curriculum is more of a path than a standard
coaching program. It helps with the ICF certificate renewal for professional
coaches. Every three years, the International Coaching Federation mandates its
coaches to renew their credentials. They are under obligations to complete
40-hour advanced and supplemental coaching instruction in an ICF-affiliated
institute. In today’s article, we will discuss the notion behind earning ICF’s
CCEUs.
Why do ICF CCEUs matter?
Continuing
Coach Education Units refer to the third-party training providers interested in
getting their training program approved and recognized by the ICF. Continuing
Coach Education (CCE) Units are supplemental and advanced education for
practicing, as well as student coaches looking to obtain new learning and/or
renew their ICF credentials.
Building
CCEUs motivate coaches to deepen their coaching skills and overall professional
growth as a coach. It’s the end of the year and ICF coaches will be required to
build new CCEUs to have their credentials renewed.
