Why a Cloud BSS Billing System Is an Absolute-Must for Telcos to Survive?

SDN and NFV are transforming the way telecom operations take place. When used together with cloud technologies, the new telecom solutions are expected to reduce cost considerably. Some of the advantages of cloud platform in telecom billing solutions are listed below:

1.      Cloud-based billing allows for the resources to be shared on different computer systems. In case one of the sites is down due to natural or unnatural causes, the billing information stored can be recovered.

2.      A cloud based online platform will also provide access to expensive software that can be procured as SaaS. Telecom companies will be able to use cutting-edge BSS and OSS software telecom without incurring heavy costs.
