Ledipasvir is a hepatitis C virus (HCV) inhibitor that targets the HCV nonstructural 5A (NSSA) protein, which is necessary for RNA replication and the formation of HCV visions. Sofosbuvir is a pan-genotypic inhibitor of the RNA-dependent HCV RNA polymerase NSSB, which is required for viral replication. Sofosbuvir is a nucleotide prodrug that, as a result of intracellular metabolism, is converted into a pharmacologically active triphosphate (GS-461203), an analogue of uridine, which is incorporated into the RNA of the hepatitis C virus by NSBB polymerase and acts as a chain terminator. GS-461203 (the active metabolite of sofosbuvir) is not an inhibitor of human DNA and RNA polymerases, and is not an inhibitor of mitochondrial RNA polymerase.
Instructions for use
Harvoni is used in patients with genotype 1, but it is ineffective in patients with genotypes 2 and 3 (we do not consider other genotypes here, since they are rare in our country). The tablets are taken daily at the same time once a day, preferably after meals, with a small amount of water. No need to crack pills. The duration of treatment can be 12-24 weeks. However, the doctor can adjust the duration of therapy either down or up. You must take Harvoni under your doctor guidance only.
