Mahuli Fort

Manas mandir

Popular with the pilgrims this lovely temple has intricate interior wall carvings dedicated to the Lord Adinath, first of the Jain Tirthankara. The surroundings here are quite serene and at the temple you can find inner peace.

Upvan Lake

This lake is in amazing Yeoor Hills and it is beguiling destination with nearby shopping complexes and green vegetation making it a perfect spot for spending time relaxing with your loved ones. Naneghat Hills

This is part of lovely Sahyadri Mountains and in ancient times Satvahana rulers used to own the region and it was their toll collection gateway but since then the geography here has changed much. Today this is among a popular trekking destination for the visitors.


Gorakhgad Fort

History enthusiasts love exploring the fort as it bears testimony to the times gone by. The Maratha rulers constructed this fort carving this out from massive boulders. This is among those rare forts that the British were unable to capture and today this is favourite destination for trekkers and is part of sightseeing itinerary in Thane.

Tansa Lake

This artificial lake is picturesque with ethereal ambiance and it is among the largest of its kind in Maharashtra with holding capacity of 3 M water gallons. Tansa Wildlife Sanctuary is near the name and is home to fantastic animals and birds as the cockatoo, white peacock, black buck, and nilgai.

Bassein Fort

This is another of the ancient forts that you can visit when staying at hotel near Thane bus station built in British-Portuguese architectural style.
