Steps To Install Colorbond Fencing and Colorbond Fence Extensions

Step 1

Removing Old Fence

The process begins with removing the old fence, and while doing this, the professionals also check for factors like tree roots, pipes, slopes, length and height. This quick inspection ensures the precise level of the upcoming Colorbond fencing.

Step 2

Digging The Holes

The second step to install Colorbond fencing will include digging holes at roughly 600 mm deep and 200 mm wide.

Step 3

Installing The Bottom Rail

The fence experts will then install the bottom rail by connecting it with the first two posts and ensuring the correct level. These professionals use a drill to put a spring through the post to secure the bottom rail. Once the bottom rail is secured, these professionals dig the next end hole and drop the next post.

Step 4

Filling The Concrete

Professionals involved in installing Colorbond fencing and Colorbond gates will use concrete to half-fill each end hole to make it sturdy and secure. This concrete is filled to ensure that everything is robust as they put in the panels.

Step 5

Installing The First Panel

The professionals install the first panel by inserting the bottom near the end post and pushing it down into the bottom rail. They ensure that only one panel is installed at a time.

Step 6

Inserting The Top Rail

Experts continue inserting the panels, and finally, it's time to insert the top rail into the first panel. They have to push it between the posts and secure it with the first panel. They keep the last corrugation free to ensure that the next panel is attached easily.

Step 7

Inserting The Panels

Inserting the panels involves repeating the process of inserting the bottom end of the panel into the bottom rail first. They then slide into the top rail while ensuring that the first corrugation overlaps with the last panel corrugation. They must move the panels into the bottom hole and secure it by pushing down the top rail.

Step 8

Fastening The Top Rail

Fastening the top rail involves pushing them down and connecting them by drilling screws through the post. This drilling is done on both ends of the panel, but before this, it is ensured that the top rail is levelled completely.

This process continues with installing all the infill panels on the top and bottom rails. It will continue until the bigger sections are installed.

Step 9

Infilling The Panels

In this step, the professionals will cut an infill panel to fit in the things precisely. The team measures the space between two posts and marks the distance at the top and bottom. They will then use a spirit level to draw a line in between. In this situation, they will also use an angle grinder to cut along the lines, but only after wearing all the safety gear, safety glasses, gloves, etc.

Step 10

Cutting The Rails For Infill Panels

Experts of colorbond fencing installation will use the same measurement to cut top and bottom rails. They will use an angle grinder again to match the holes and infill panels at the right length of Colorbond fence extensions.

Step 11

Installing The Last Panel

Installing the last panel of Colorbond fencing is easy as they will place the bottom rail between the posts and secure it through the familiar process of using a spirit level and then drilling them. While doing this, they ensure that the top rail and the bottom rail is treated the same way and the level is checked before securing them with screws.
