What is Teeth Whitening?
by Avinash Mittal BloggerYour teeth are
bleached in order to whiten them during teeth whitening. Your teeth won't
become dazzling white, but the colour can be lightened by many shades.
You will need to
attend the dental office for two to three appointments before having your teeth
whitened.
The dentist will
manufacture a mouth guard using an impression of your teeth and instruct you on
how to use it with a whitening treatment. The gel is then routinely applied for
a predetermined amount of time over a few weeks while wearing your mouth guard
at home. The treatment time can be shortened by using whitening gels that can
be applied for up to 8 hours at a time.
Another sort of
teeth-whitening method that a dentist might offer is laser whitening, sometimes
referred to as power whitening. Your teeth are painted with a bleaching
substance, which is then activated by a light or laser. It takes an hour or so
to use laser whitening.
Is Teeth Whitening being permanent?
Tooth whitening is
temporary. It varies from person to person and can last anywhere from a few
months to up to three years.
If you smoke,
drink red wine, tea, or coffee, which can all discolour your teeth, the
whitening effect won't stay as long.
The Pros and Cons of Teeth Whitening.

trust someone, allowing you to confidently enter new social situations knowing
that your smile speaks for you.

Some Teeth Whitening
jackson mo procedures might damage enamel severely and momentarily increase
sensitivity. Thankfully, this will go away in a few hours or days, although
individuals with sensitive teeth may have discomfort during the whitening.
The American
Dental Association (ADA) Seal of Acceptance is a certification that indicates
whitening solutions sold by dentist offices and professionally administered
(in-office) bleaching products adhere to ADA safety and efficacy standards.
Only goods with 10% carbamide peroxide for home use that are prescribed by a
dentist and products with 35% hydrogen peroxide used in an office currently
bear this seal.
The ADA does not support over-the-counter bleaching products because it considers professional advice essential to ensuring safe and efficient use. The ADA's list of approved items does not include any laser-whitening products.
