There are two further types of rotary screw compressors used by the compressed air service and they are oil flooded one and without the oil one.
Reciprocating air compressors:- In reciprocating air, compressors augment the force by dipping the volume of the air. It is a type of positive displacement compressor. In this type of compressor, there is a piston, which is used as an element to displace air, reduce volume and enhance the pressure.
Centrifugal compressors:- It is a type of dynamic air compressor. Energy produced from a rotating impeller is transferred to air hence compressing it to produce extra pressure. Centrifugal compressor is known for producing high flow of energy and capacity since the flow within the compressor is continuous.
Depending on the needs of the industry, you can utilize any of these air compressor.
