In case you have a low CRS score, applying along with your spouse or a common-law partner can help you gain points. If that does not work out and you still need your spouse or common-law partner to accompany you, the best way is to apply for a spouse visa for Canada from India.

Boost your CRS scores with these simple tips

Tip No. 1 - Add your common-law partner or spouse.

This can really lead to a CRS points increase. By even retaking their language test or getting an educational credential assessment done they can upscale their scores.

Even a post-secondary education can lead to a CRS points increase. As a single applicant at times your profile gets higher scores. Since your score can change depending on whether you're taking along your spouse you can mention them as non-accompanying to increase your points.

For them, you can apply for a spouse visa for Canada from India.

Tip No. 2 - You can Retake your IELTS test to get ahead with your CRS scores.

Good IELTS results like 8,0 to 10.0 across all bands can get you up to 160 points. The minimum ielts requirement for Canada PR can be from 6 to 6.5 also. But if you have a post-secondary education coupled with a good IELTS score you can even get an additional 50 points.

Even 3 years of work experience with good IELTS scores can get you an added 50 points. Under the Federal Skilled Worker program, you need to score a minimum CLB 7 to be qualified for Express entry.

You can take the IELTS test as many times as you wish. What's more, you can update your Express Entry profile with your new IELTS results and check the score change on the CRS score calculator.

Tip No. 3 - Get more Work Experience

Since the EE system takes care of three core economic-based immigration programs your work experience counts. If you do not qualify for Express entry and gaining work experience so fast is not easy what else can you do?

You can come to Canada as a student and gain part-time work experience (as a temporary worker). When you have Canada-based work experience more immigration choices open for you.

The NOC matrix is used to assign scores to all professions. Whichever NOC codes you use to claim your work experience, ensure that they are accurate. A right NOC code choice can lead to a points increase.

Tip No. 4 - Gain a Job Offer

A job offer that is eligible by a Canada-based employer can get you between 50 to 200 extra points. You can search for them on the Canada Job Bank or private job boards and social networking platforms to come in touch with Canadian employers in your field.

Tip No 5 - Provincial Nomination

Nominations from any Canada province can add 600 additional points. The majority of these provinces run a nomination program aligned with Express Entry. Applying for the PNP is to keep in mind a separate immigration process altogether.

Conclusion

Your CRS score calculator is your online reference tool that is used to get a score estimate. Go to the IRCC website to use one. Do not rely on fancy CRS calculators as they get you an incorrect score. You can even visit trusted and certified immigration consultants for a smoother immigration process.
