What are The Prime Differences between Offline Education and Virtual Classrooms?

by Call XP CallXP – Build Your Brand, Capitalize Your Skills

Gone are the days when schools, colleges and universities existed physically. Students travelled miles to study and give exams when there was only one teacher for one subject or for several subjects, and subjects were strictly bound to the curriculum. That time, all you can do is study what you are being taught and strengthen your basics.

That's how the education system is built, one step at a time. Firstly you learn the formula, and then you are asked to apply it. But, there are marvels everywhere. In every school, at least one student tests the formula first and then learns from its mistakes and drawbacks.

Now things work on Socio-emotional learning, which relies on your emotional and thinking capacity. It is a modern approach to teaching which is being taught in virtual classrooms in online learning ecosystem

or websites like Edutopia, among others.

Prime differences between offline education and virtual classrooms!

  • The foremost difference is location: You need not travel miles with a weight of a heavy bag on your shoulders that carries books that might not even interest you. With the advent of the virtual classroom, this changed. Now your shoulders are completely relaxed, and your mind is clear about what you want to become in life.

You might ask why so? Why can't we realize the same thing in offline education?

The answer is simple and unique: change in curriculum according to the student's pace of learning. Also, keep in mind his interests and what enthuses them, what excites them!

For instance, have you seen a four-year-old kid playing hide-and-seek? Though it's a tiring game, the kid enjoys it. We all are like kids, and the things that excite us becomes our passion. And one can never get bored or tired from his passion. In short, in online learning, one can identify the course they should choose!

  • Continuous Professional Development (CPD): CPD training is one of the best practices to keep the learning wheel churning. It is a learning methodology applied by all online educational virtual meeting platform For educators

Take an example of Coursera; when you are done with one course in Marketing and business development, it offers you another - probably named as the advanced level marketing strategies!

Through CPD, one can never stop learning because everyone wants to become a master in their field. That is what Continuous Professional Development training do. It doesn't stop like in offline education when a chapter ends; both teacher and the student do not even get into its advanced stage because it will be taught in the next class.

For instance, if you want to learn Python, you have to begin with the beginner's level program and then step by step to reach the advanced level of Python. Finally, you will become a python developer. That is what Continuous Professional Development do!

  • Customized Curriculum Design: The advent of Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning and deep learning programs have given rise to keeping an eye on a human's quotidian work and tasks. So, with the help of AI, we can create a personalized curriculum for each student that gets enrolled.

Every student has different wants and needs and an absolute different methodology to learn. Few learn practically via practical examples, while few learn from instructions and conventional techniques.

What AI do is just observe each student's learning methodology and pace of acquiring knowledge. After grasping and stockpiling facts, AI will start with its actual work. Designing the curriculum but in a hybrid environment means there will be human experts who will check the analyzed data produced by Artificial Intelligence and then suggest what can be changed or added, keeping in mind the conventional techniques.

Convenience for both student and the teacher:  Yes, Convenience is one of the major differences between online and offline learning. When you are sitting at your house and online learning ecosystem, it's a whole new process of education. While it's also very comfortable and it prevents you from getting bored as a student because you are at your comfort spot. Initially, students used to get bored from being isolated and not able to meet, play like before.

But when virtual chatboxes evolved this problem was solved. Now they can chat and discuss while the class is going on.

Though whether it's online education or offline education, both impart knowledge and learning. It's just the methodology of delivering that knowledge that changes.
