1. Choosing your wax:

2. Select a fragrance.

Select a fragrance for your candle to make the place more aromatic when

It’s lit. The recommended amount would be to use a 5% fragrance level which is like one ounce of the fragrance for every pound of wax. So for every case of

wax you buy, you want to add 2.5 to 3 pounds of wax.

 

3. Choosing a wick for your candle.

Choosing what type of wick you want for your candle is a critical part that depends upon various factors like the type of wax you've used, fragrances used and the colors used for your candle. It's recommended that you use flat, braided wicks for your candles. Also, you can use Nylon shells for your candle.

 

4. Select a mold. 

Adding mold to your candle will make it into a desired specific shape. For this, you can use either Aluminium or designer candle molds made out of polycarbonate. There are different mold to make Pillar candles.

 

5. Heat your wax.

You can heat the wax at 200 F however its important that you add all the

colors and additives when the temperature reaches 190 F.

 

6. Add color and fragrance.

You can add color and fragrances to the wax at 190F to make the candle

look a bit decorative and to make the place aromatic where it’s lit.

 

7. Place the wax into the mold.

Place the wax carefully into the mold while its hot and let it cool for some time at

the room temperature.

 

8. Remove the candle from the mold.

Gently remove the mold when it has reached the room temperature and solidified

and now you have your finished pillar candle.
