Undoubtedly, the condition of pregnancy makes a huge difference for a woman’s body. Hence, most of the women are prone to several health issues which can pose a challenge to the new moms. To go through this phase of post-pregnancy in a better way, it is wise for every woman to know some details about the common health problems after every childbirth. As per the experts from the pregnancy hospital in Bangalore, post-pregnancy health issues are part and parcel of adapting to motherhood. Some of the common issues include:

  • Sore Nipples: Usually, the soreness in the nipples will be resolved in a few days after delivery. To avoid such a condition, you need to allow the nipples to get exposed to air between the feeding. You can also put a bit of breastfeeding and make it dry after proper nursing. Use nipple soreness cream as prescribed by your doctor.

  • Vaginal bleeding: Though some bleeding is normal soon after the delivery, periods will generally slow down at the end of two or three weeks. Any excess bleeding or clotting should be reported to your doctor at the best maternity hospital in Bangalore who will treat you accordingly after examining you.

  • Breast Engorgement:  Generally your breast milk flow will increase around four or five days after your delivery. At times the milk can become rock hard, and this condition is known as engorgement. Do not get panic and feed your baby with frequent intervals, so has to maintain a perfect demand-supply ratio. To prevent you can also use ice pads or hot towels to sooth your engorged breasts.

  • Swollen feet: If you have undergone a C- section to remove your baby, you may find your legs swollen after your delivery. This condition mainly occurs since you have received more intravenous fluids during the C-section procedure. These fluids contain more sodium contents that make your legs to swell.

  • Hair loss: This is one of the common symptoms seen among the new mothers. This condition occurs due to the changes in hormone levels during the pregnancy period and will not last long. In general, hair loss can occur up to six months after your delivery. If it persists for long months consult your doctor or a dermatologist.

  • Constipation: This is yet another common symptom experienced by many women after the delivery. Factors like pain killers can cause constipation while intake of soft and fluids diets can prevent this condition. Too much constipation needs to be reported to your doctor as it can even lead to hemorrhoids development.

As said earlier post-pregnancy issues are common to many women. Since your body changes itself during the time of your pregnancy, it takes a little time for your body to return to normal. Remember the fact that your postpartum health issues can be resolved in many ways. Exercise is one of the easy ways to get your body back to normal.
