1. Uninstall the Riot Vanguard software

The first thing that you can do to solve the error is to remove the Riot Vanguard software from your computer. To do that, go to your control panel and then choose the “Uninstall a program “option under programs. Now right-click on the software and click on “Uninstall.” Once you have done that, restart your computer and open the game to see whether the error is removed or not.

2. Using Bcdedit Configuration Command

If the above step does not remove the error, then don’t worry and try this fix. Open your command prompt by pressing the Win+R key on your keyboard and typing “cmd” in the Run command box. If you are not using your administrator account, then switch to it and then open Command Prompt. Now run these commands using Command Prompt:

bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx OptIn

bcdedit.exe /set nointegritychecks off

When you have run these codes, you might see a message. In that case, you have to power off the secure boot feature in your computer’s BIOS. Once you have done that, run the above codes again and restart your computer. This should remove the error.

3. Run the game in Windows compatibility mode

The next thing that you can do to remove the error is to run the game in compatibility mode. To do that, go the games shortcut and right-click it to launch the properties. Next, search for the “Run the program in compatibility mode”option. Once you have found that, click on the “Apply” button to save changes. Your error will be resolved.

4. Change Process Priority

In case all the above steps fail to resolve the error, then you can use this solution. Open your task manager and look for the process with the name “Vanguard tray notification” and right-click it. Next, click on the “details” option. After that, right-click the process and then change its priority to “Normal.” Now restart your computer and check to see if the error is removed or not.
