Wikipedia calls Vadodara as the “Sanskari city of India”. For many people “the term Sanskari” might limit their interest in the city. On the contrary, other than being Sanskari and one of the most important and biggest cities of Gujarat, there are many interesting facts about the city and many fabulous places to explore in Vadodara.

Vadodara, also known as Baroda is a beautiful city. A person who comes to see and explore this city, the first thing he or she is directed to is the Laxmi Vilas Palace. It used to be the residence of the Gaekwads, the famous ruling Maratha family of Baroda, in the early times. Now, the gorgeous palace has been restored into a museum with magnificent paintings and artefacts. A “must visit place” of Baroda that approves one’s visit to Baroda. Other than the Laxmi Vilas Palace, the other places in the city which are uniquely different and would let one create memories of the city are Sayaji Baug (It’s a beautiful garden with a great collection of flowers, museum, and zoo. There is a little train that takes around the huge garden too.) Nazarbaug Palace (It is the oldest palace of Baroda and the royal palace belonging to the Gaekwad Family), Hazira Maqbara, Sursagar Lake etc.

The snacks and the places from where one should have are Kachodi from Mangal Bazar, Mahakali’s Sev Usad near Polo Grounds, Leelo Chevdo, Vada Pav at Nizampura, and Dal Wada. These are the few food items that one savour with all heart.
