by Ibhana Boutique Designer
A scarf is a simple piece of fabric that is wrapped around the neck or shoulders, and sometimes, over the head. A scarf is longer than it is wide, and it comes in numerous sizes and shapes. Common ones include rectangular, triangular, and square scarves.  A scarf is a perfect combination of function and fashion. This item of clothing is not only used to keep you warm, but it is a popular fashion accessory as well. When used correctly, scarves can transform your look.

The Lua hand painted scarves, that piece of fabric worn around the neck, for fashion or comfort, comes in many packages.  All of them are equally gorgeous but some of them are more of a favourite than others. Here they have tried to distinguish their favourite types of scarves according to the fabric used, the prints and patterns on it, and the trims attached to embellish them.

Different types of scarves based on material

Cotton scarves

Thin printed or plain cotton-like voile is used to make pretty scarves. Because of the lightweight nature of these fabrics, they are great as a summer accessory. They stay in place and are great for tying in various styles.

Chiffon scarves

Chiffon fabric is lightweight, drapey, thin – all the better to tie around the neck without any bulk. You can add trims like lace at the short ends alone or all along the four sides

3 Net scarves

Net fabrics are ideal for making scarves. You will have to choose a fine and smooth net fabric like tulle instead of scratchy synthetic nets. Trims like sequins, chains, or laces can be added to the edges.

Silk scarves
Silk is an expensive choice for scarves, but they have a luxurious aura. Hand-painted silk scarves are much in demand and carry a premium.

Velvet scarves

Velvet is a heavy thick fabric with a pile so using the whole width of the fabric as a scarf is not a good idea. Thin tube scarves in velvet are ideal.

Scarves can be divided based on their designs as well. Scarves can be hand-painted, block-printed, dyed, embellished, embroidered, beaded, or lacy.  Dyed scarves are the most common types of scarves when we talk about types of scarves based on design. However, embellished, and embroidered scarves are popular scarves for formal functions.
