While there are certain traditions that still hold good for some reason or the other like white is not to be worn in weddings or special occasions there are certain things which need to be taken care of always.
Old etiquette of fashion says do not wear black, red or white but the new etiquette says that black and red are perfectly fine but white should be avoided even now in the weddings. If you are puzzled about what to wear then let the invitation, season and the occasion are your best guides. For instance, a knee-length dress made up of cotton in warm weather or the strapless styles with open-toed footwear look cool. To avoid sun simple hats also look cool. If the event is semiformal then cocktail dresses with pale pink shade look cool.
