Types of Mainstream Valve

Automatic valve: valve that relies on the medium to function automatically.

Actuated valve: sanitary valve that is manually, electrically, hydraulically or pneumatically operated.

Gate valve: valve whose opening and closing member is driven by the valve stem to make lifting movements along the sealing surface of the valve seat.

Parallel gate valve: gate valve whose sealing surfaces at both sides of the gate plate are parallel to each other.

Wedge gate valve: gate valve whose sealing surfaces at both sides of the gate plate are wedge-shaped.

Outside screw stem rising through handwheel type gate valve: gate valve whose valve stem makes lifting movements and whose transmission screw is outside the valve chamber.

Inside screw nonrising stem type gate valve: gate valve whose valve stem makes rotating movements and whose transmission screw is inside the valve chamber.

Quick open-and-close gate valve: gate valve whose valve stem makes both lifting and rotating movements.

Contraction cavity gate valve: gate valve whose channel diameter inside the valve body is different and whose diameter of the sealing surface of the valve seat is smaller than that of the flange connection.

Flat gate valve: this type of gate valve can be divided into ones with diversion holes and ones without diversion holes. Flat gate valve with diversion holes can clear the pipe, while flat gate valve without diversion holes can only be used as the open-and-close device on the pipeline.

Butterfly valve: valve whose opening and closing member rotates around the fixed axis.

Centerline butterfly valve: butterfly valve whose center of axis of the valve is located on the central line of the valve body and the sealing surface of the butterfly plate.

Single-eccentric center butterfly valve: butterfly valve whose center of axis of the valve is located on the central line of the valve body and forms a biased dimension with the sealing surface of the butterfly plate.

Double-eccentric center butterfly valve: butterfly valve whose center of axis of the valve forms a biased dimension with the sealing surface of the butterfly plate and another biased dimension with the centerline of the valve body.
