Travel to Thailand from Bangladesh with Less Money

I simply gave my passport and necessary papers to an agency and paid BDT 3500 (Single Entry) to get the visa. (2023 e fee holo 4300 tk) due to which I didn’t get hasel. Visa fee 3500/= (2023 e fee holo 3840 tk) They came to my house and took all my papers and returned my passport after eight days at my house.

Due to this, this additional service fee was not charged to me. I thought that I would have to spend the same amount of money to travel, so I chose the agency. Also, I heard from people that a maximum Thai visa is not necessary to apply personally. I don’t know how true or false this is.

However, the post that some travel agency helps to get a visa for 3700 BDT also came to my newsfeed. You will find it with a little search. Most agencies charge Rs.4000.

Before issuing the visa, the embassy called me and talked to me for about 12 minutes and asked many questions. If you can’t reach this phone, probably the Thai embassy doesn’t issue a visa. The call came five days after submitting the passport.

For this visa, I deposited 60000 rupees in the bank balance with its statement and bank solvency certificate and then submitted the passport. You can find the visa submission requirements on the embassy’s website. Please do not reduce the bank balance from that 6000 BDT till you get the visa. I heard that there is no harm if the money is more, if it is less, there may be trouble.

And after submitting the visa, keep an eye on the mobile from Sunday to Thursday from 9 am to 5 pm. Tell them the truth in very clear language. Confusion between you can stop your visa. The agency has no hand in it. Be careful that all the papers are correct.

Take out the size of the photo to be printed for the Thailand visa from Bangladesh. The shop from which you will print the photo knows the size of the photo for the Thai visa.

There are various planes to go from Dhaka to Bangkok. It will not be a problem to get their details online.

Let’s talk about going to Phuket from Bangkok. Don’t forget to take the bus. Bus fare is more/equal/slightly less than plane fare and takes 12–16 hours. Although comfortable, there is no point in deciding to take the bus as you can reach your destination in a tenth of the time for less than that. And the plane company to go from Bangkok to Phuket is not less. You can book Dhaka to Bangkok air tickets on any plane.

However, if you want to catch a flight to Phuket again, select the time carefully.

Let me tell you two scenarios.

1. Your plane departing from Bangladesh will land at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport. It’s too big. It took me half an hour walking to reach immigration. Now the fact is that cheap planes like AirAsia, Thai Airways, or Thai Lion Air depart from Bangkok’s Don Muang Airport.

If you want to go to Phuket after landing in Bangkok and again from Don Mueang, then definitely keep the distance between Bangkok landing and Don Mueang’s flying time of 4–6 hours. Then don’t worry. Getting from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport to Don Muang Airport by airport shuttle bus/taxi may take one to three hours depending on traffic jams.

2. In this case I am especially grateful to TOB Helpline Member Badal Bhai because he found and bought me Viet Jet Air which departs from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport. The fare of this plane was lower than that of Don Mueang.

So after my plane landed at Suvarnabhumi Airport at 6.30 in the morning, I had a fresh breakfast and later I was able to catch the flight again from that place without any extra travel. I also saw that Thai Airways leaves for Phuket from Suvarnabhumi Airport. But the airfare is very high. Service and!!

Remember that the earlier the flight ticket is booked, the higher the chance of getting a discount. Different agencies vary in flight prices. My suggestion is to check the price on the official website first, no matter which flight you are going on. Then you can talk to the agency. If you want, you can buy the ticket yourself. This means you will get numerous opportunities to cross-check the Dhaka to Bangkok air ticket price.

They will inform you if the local flight is canceled due to any reason. But since you are going from Bangladesh and it is not possible to provide any Thai number for communication from here, you should try to be at the airport one and a half hours before the departure of the plane. Because they send a message to the number to inform them if the flight is canceled.

If you come and see the flight cancellation on the scheduling monitor of the airport, immediately go to their ticket sales counter and claim. They will want to put you on their next flight (if seats are available). If it is too late and you have less time, you will not agree.

They will then get you a ticket for the next flight from another company. This happened to me. Return flight from Phuket to Bangkok at 7:50 am. I came and saw that my flight was canceled on the TV screen. I went around a lot and found their counter. Smilingly asked me to board their flight at 11:50.

I said that I got up at 5 in the morning and came to you with this tired body with an extra 100 baht taxi fare to listen to this request. I don’t know how you will arrange for me. I want to be in Bangkok by 11 o’clock. After saying this, they called from somewhere. Then go and see that the ticket for our other company is ready.

I got a seat on the 8:30 flight that day. During the entire tour, I read the big Khatam prayer again and again to say the suspense. Because I couldn’t find where to go and what to do. They have airport information booths everywhere. There were two people who actually lacked English education. Probably got a job by lobbying. If I didn’t find that counter that day, God knows what was on my forehead.

By the way when entering Bangkok and exiting Bangladesh. Immigration may ask if hotel booking is available. Keep a screenshot / print copy of the booking. Don’t lose an essential document or even a plane ticket until you return home. Thailand allows you to fill out a form on the plane before landing. Never lose it. And please keep your passport with you even if you go out for a walk.

Honestly, no immigrant in any country has ever put their hand in my pocket or wallet and asked if I have money or baht or dollars in my pocket. Yet I have remained fair on my part. I took all the money from the country in dollars (200 dollars), people take more money to India anyway. Banks keep a lot of money.

I called a few banks and some money exchanges in Uttara-Paltan-Gulshan with numbers from the Internet and saw that almost everyone except the bank wanted to be closed. 10–30 paise difference between agencies. I visited 12 shops in Gulshan 1 square and bought dollars at the lowest price in one place. Immediately, I paid that dollar amount of 200 BDT and endorsed 500 dollars on my passport from them.

If you want to take the risk, which means taking all the baths from the country, then you will also endorse dollars. At least get a chance to talk if someone asks (even if it’s inappropriate).

The rate at Bangkok airport is very low for bathing in dollars. Desperately, I didn’t fork out $50 for the fare from Phuket Airport to the beach. All the remaining money I broke from the beach area. After the Phuket tour, I came to Bangkok and saw that the rate is higher than the airport but lower than the beach.

I thank Allah in my heart that the comments and posts of the TOB helpline are really useful. Thousands of money exchanges in Patong Beach. You will get the best rate if you search well. Be sure to keep your passport with you while exchanging money. Wherever you go to give tours abroad. Keep your passport with you at all times.

I want to give a good idea. You can take 1000 baht per person even if you get all the money from the country. In that case, you don’t have to exchange dollars at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport, you can exchange everything by going to the beach. Then don’t lose it for sure. Be sure to check the notes and buy only 50 and 100 dollars when buying dollars from the country. Don’t forget to take fewer notes. Then you will get a lower exchange rate at the beach. Only $50 and $100 notes will get you the best rate.

I asked to take some baths with me from Bangladesh. One of the reasons is to get a SIM. You will buy the SIM from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport. You will get them only after passing the immigration. True company SIM is the best I got at the lowest price. 7 days unlimited internet 4G. You can make domestic calls by recharging. The price is only 200 baht. Everyone else is in 200 baths. It’s the best savings.

After landing at Phuket Airport, various taxi companies will call you like your brother to take you to the hotel. If you are a budget traveler, please leave the airport straight with cotton in your ears. As soon as you come out, you will see that the minibus service is taking 180 baht per person to the beach. Didn’t I say to take 1000 baht from the country? You also need to carry this money to pay for this bus service.

They will take everyone’s hotel address. The car immediately filled up with 10–12 people. Once full, they will leave the car and take everyone to the hotel one by one. AC car, excellent space, endless luggage space. As we can board the local bus, it is quite comfortable for us. I like this minibus service very good and affordable. But on the way they stop at one place.

There the beauties will take your hotel address and make a route plan for the driver who will get off first and who will get off later. Then they will ask you with a smile what are the plans for the next few days. Where do you go? If you tell them I’m going to Phi Phi Island, James Bond Island, or Tiger Kingdom, their true selves will come out and try desperately to get you the package.

These packages are available from Patong Beach for 900–1000 baht. These beauties will try to sell you 3000 baht to last 1400 baht. Don’t forget to step into the trap because you can get packages for less money than this. You say ‘My friends are already there, so they are arranging all of these’ or ‘I haven’t decided yet, I am tired now, I will decide later maybe after arriving at the hotel’ so this break is ten minutes. If you want, you can get fresh food here. It will take you a total of 1–1.30 hours to reach the hotel.

If you are 3–4 people then take a taxi. Because 180*4 = 720 baht. You will get a taxi for 550–600, in that case, there is no hassle of a midway break. Will reach within an hour. If you want, you can also continue by renting a car yourself. A Bangladeshi brother did this work by bringing his family.

He rented a private car for 20 dollars for two days. He has been there before and it is not too difficult to see the map. (I met him on a Phi Phi tour, he said this, no chance to verify the truth. Probably $20 per day and fuel costs are your own. Search the internet and you might get an exact estimate, I didn’t.

Since we are talking about a budget tour, the hotel cost is important. The Royal Paradise Hotel is fairly close to the beach and fairly affordable. But not much less. Above 1500 per night. The beach is a 10-minute walk from where I am staying. My cost per night is 400 baht which is close to 1000 rupees. Beautiful arrangement, service, and hospitality.

There are many hostels where you can stay for an amount of 500 rupees per night. But wherever you go, first check the room, washroom, and AC then pay. Certainly not before that. Most hotels and hostels offer free breakfast. You can choose the hotel from Agoda.com. Be sure to read as many guest reviews as you can. Even then, you can understand whether it is near or far from the beach, how the service is, or whether the hotel has any problems.

Check-in at hotels in Thailand starts at 2 pm. Check-out is at 11–12 AM. You book the flight that way. Then the pain will decrease. Will leave Bangladesh on the same night. Catch the plane to Phuket early in the morning. Then reach by noon. But if available they will give you room if you arrive earlier.

This Phi Phi Island all-day package is 1000 baht on average everywhere. It means you will want a lot but if you bargain you will get that much for sure. I got it at 900 baht. In every lane, you will find travel companies who are sitting with thousands of packages for you.

Fifi Island, James Bond Island, Krabi you can take the package anywhere. I only took the Phi Phi Island package and spent one day there and another day at Patong Beach so I don’t know too many details. Feel free to search the TOB HelpLine to know this. I am talking about my experience with the Phi Phi Tour.

They gave me a time between 8:30–8:45 in the morning. Their pick-up micro will come and pick me up in front of the hotel and if I don’t call them, they will give me their number. At exactly 8:44 they came and took me. If you are not on time they will leave you behind. Time is time. With luck, you may even survive.

Still, it’s good to be time conscious. After traveling for an hour, our speedboat left from where they took me. Before that fresh, tea coffee cookies food opportunities, they give me there. Full Free Unlimited. The full fee excursion, unlimited coke, cold water on the boat, buffet lunch (very disgusting) in the afternoon, and hotel drop off in the afternoon.

At the place where we were dropped off for breakfast, they kept threatening us that we would be bitten by fish on the beach. Asked to buy a pair of cheap sandals for 350 baht. Don’t forget to buy it. Bring rubber sandals from the country or buy these shoes from Patong Beach for 200 baht. Basically, wear something that doesn’t expose your legs. And a mobile cover is available which can be used underwater. Price 80–100 baht. Buy it from Patong Beach. Then you can take many pictures underwater.

Wear a dress that can go down into the water. Take the necessary clothes with you in the bag. Don’t worry, the agency will be there to check your bags when you get down to the beach. Absolutely safe. If they tell you they leave at 4:20 that means you should be back at them at 4:15. Otherwise you will be in trouble.

God has given me the opportunity to see the blue water beach, the waves of the sea, the row of mountains, and the wonderful scenery with my own eyes. I thank him for this.

If you visit Fifi Island, you don’t need to visit James Bond. After hearing this from most people, I didn’t buy this package the next day. I saved that money and went shopping the next day from Bangkok. And on the last day of Phuket, I spent the whole day at the beach.

At Patong Beach, you will find a tuk-tuk/taxi to get there. No one wants to go below 200 baths, no matter how short the distance. So I think a little walk is enough. However, some sooty drivers wearing paste-colored jackets stand at the junctions of the roads. 50 baht wherever you go. I’ve used them twice because the legs have run out of strength. I used to keep a hotel card with me. And they will recognize it even if they see it on Google Maps. Many people will call you for a massage if you walk.

Be careful but the foot massage is very famous. The price is 200 baht. It’s probably very relaxing (I haven’t done it, I don’t know why). Patong Beach is fun to walk along Bangla Road at night. You will feel the nightlife. You will also enjoy walking on the beach. This Patong is for very safe travelers.

Having a driving license will reduce your troubles a lot. You can rent a scooter for 200 baht for 24 hours. You will find it below your hotel. Otherwise, there are many rented houses. This is the most you can move around. Two people can travel comfortably on one bike by keeping the map on their mobile phones. Please do not cycle on the opposite side of a one-way road. If the police come and catch you, you can be fined. And their citizens are also very aware. No discount will be given to you.

There is no point in going to Indian shops, the prices are high. Do not go to any shop where you see pork being sold or all items are fried in the same oil, the chances of it being haram are high. There are many halal foods. I ate KFC every meal. Very affordable. I didn’t even need 200 baht each time. There was unlimited Coke/Pepsi/Fanta. The machine is open in front of you. Eat what you want when you want. No one will say anything. 7-Eleven and Family Mart..every one-three minutes walk you will find any of them.

Surprise!! I am just amazed by their availability-service-price! Our Agora or Dream Super Shop. But all are available. All means all. The price of CP fried rice chicken in their fridge is 47–70 baht, and the sandwich is 20–32 baht (so much fun that I ate it every morning, different flavor every time) so I didn’t have to eat it anywhere outside these two super shops like KFC and Super Shop. It cost much less money!!! They heat everything. I took it out of the fridge and handed them the packet with a smile and said ‘Hot Please’ and immediately prepared it and heated it.

Every day I have 500 baht for 3 meals because of this KFC and those two super shops. And these shops are so many that you can get bored looking. But I only saw 7-Eleven in Bangkok. But countless. Meaning there is no shortage. It will not be difficult to find. You can eat street food, but those who make pork items do not need food. And the street food is very expensive. And there are fruits. People ate like crazy! Many many fruit shops! can eat Their presentation of fruit.

There are numerous posts about the Bangkok tour, so I didn’t write its details in my long post. But Bangkok also has that bike service. Where you go will take less than a tuk-tuk/taxi. Bike owners can ask for an increase of 20–40 baht. Don’t be fooled if you haggle. I rode the sky train. The stands are called BTS. Places of interest are around BTS. The cost is less. It should be called Metrorail.

I walked around Bangkok on it, went to shopping centers, and stayed in hotels. Very clear direction was given so no fear of losing the way. If you accidentally get off earlier or later, you can back up or go on to the next train. You can travel from one end of the city to the other end of the city by this train if you want. But you can only exit through the station where you bought the ticket.

In fact, I can’t say one thing. Everywhere in Thailand, girls are winning. Shop, Hotel Reception, Driver, Bus Driver, Helper, Currency Seller. I mean I’ve seen girls dominating everywhere. They are very gentle. But they have zero tolerance for sexual harassment. No one should be looked at in such a way that he feels offended, irrespective of his country.

I have to remember that I am representing my country there. There were also girls from different countries who went to Phi Phi Island. They put on short clothes before boarding the boat. A Pakistani or an Indian was probably looking at them repeatedly with nasty gestures. They inform the boat authority either by signal or in any way.

After a while, I saw that man was taken to the front of the boat and seated where everyone could see his activities. Such silent humiliation was indeed deserved. Although I don’t know, the authorities know the country of the man. So it is important to take care of these things.

These are pretty much fixed for a budget traveler. Trust me, if you are smart and smart you can complete the tour for much less than that. It is up to you where you stay. That’s how you calculate.

You can arrange a tour plan by knowing which one you will go to first and which one you will go to later, from where you will go from there. Do not litter anywhere. Not in any country. A man in front of me on Patong Beach Road was casually walking away, dropping a tissue on the road. Where a Thai man stopped the scooter and took the tissue and handed the tissue to the man and uttered the word ‘Dustbin’. So we should take care of them carefully.

But I also talked to them for hours and got information and to be honest, I have memorized all this information about what will happen on my tour from the country, where I will go to the right, where I will go to the left, for these brothers and sisters. I got information from many people by knocking, because of which I went alone without a tour agency and spent some wonderful moments in a foreign country without any trouble.
