Traffic Traffic Traffic...

ALL businesses needs traffic to grow and prosper.. If you had the greatest product in the world and no one knew about it... "What good would that be?"
The more traffic your able to get the better for your business... it is just that simple.

That may be a simple statement but getting traffic is not all that easy. If you want to take it one step further... Getting the RIGHT KIND of traffic is even better.

It goes back to that old saying about the igloos and the Eskimos in Alaska.... There is not much need for igloos in Texas... but those Eskimos in Alaska sure could use them.

All traffic is NOT created equal.. There is traffic and there is traffic.

Question:
What kind of traffic is BEST?

Answer:
The kind of traffic that produces the BEST results.

That question and answer were both easy.... it now becomes more challenging when the question is asked in not so general terms.

Question:
How do I produce the BEST Traffic for MY Business?

The best traffic would be those that have an interest to begin with in what you have to offer. If we went back to the igloo example.. and we were selling "Ready made pre-fabricated double insulated igloos" WHO would have an interest in that product? The people in Texas? I don't think so... so why would we want to market to them. Makes about as much sense as throwing that plate of spaghetti at the wall and seeing what sticks..... not only messy but also a waste of a good dish of food.

Granted the more EYEBALLS that see what you have to offer the better.. BUT>>>>> to me if you take some time to figure out who your market is you will have better luck than just throwing spaghetti.

Let's look at 2 different types of traffic.... Now I know many people think that Twitter is one of the greatest places in the world.. to me it is nothing more than a place to SPAM.... and GOSH.. I hate SPAM. Then there is Facebook... I love Facebook. But inside Facebook there is a place just like Twitter... they are those SPAM Groups..... a few even have the word SPAM in their group name. There are hundreds of them... and I am sure more being created everyday. You ASK to join these groups and wait to be accepted. As soon as your accepted BAM.. you take your copy and paste snippet of info along with the link that you want people to go to and post it...... nothing to it.. then you wait for the next and the madness continues.... did you look at anyone's ad? I doubt it. The chances of someone looking at yours is slim and none either.... I ask you does this make sense to you?

Then there are traffic exchanges and safelists.... there are HUNDREDS of these as well... you need credits to be able to post your stuff. Your able to buy credits or work for credits... you choose. Time or Money.. which one is right for you?

Now lets talk for a few moments about "Targeted Traffic"..... I want to target those Eskimos in Alaska and show them my new "Ready made pre-fabricated double insulated igloos" BECAUSE>>>>I KNOW for a fact that they would have some interest in that product.

I ask you.... Would I be targeting those Eskimos if I used traffic exchanges or safelists? I can't see how I would. Would I if I used Twitter.... maybe, if I used the right #hashtags..... Would I if I used Facebook? There again ... maybe, if I used the right #hashtags and joined the right groups or Liked the right pages.

Am I going to give you the answer to the BEST way to get "Targeted Traffic"..... ? I am going to tell you the way that I would do it.. the way that has been working for me for a long time. It is nothing new and many will call it old fashion... but then that is the kind of gal that I am. But to me it just makes more sense than throwing that delicious looking plate of spaghetti at the wall and see what sticks.

Let me give you an example to tie this together. I sold insurance for over 25 years. A few years ago things changed and I was no longer able to be out and about selling insurance.. that is when I started working on the internet. I have posted many time about not knowing anything when I started working online. I was indeed one of those newbie's that would of fell for anything.. Luckily I got with great group of people and I am still with them today.

One of the things that I do to make money online is I passout Free RX Cards. I simple passout there cards and when people use them I make money. It does not get any easier than that. I pass these cards out in a couple of different ways. I make a day of it and I go into Doctors office, clinics.. anywhere that people are who are on medication and could use a RX card to help them SAVE money when they purchase their medication. I post the card online so that a person can make a copy of it and simply take the card with them.... (the actual card is not needed but the particular number that are on it) I also send them one in the mail if they ask me to.

As you can see I am narrowing down my Target Market.... I am not looking for people who use mail order for their prescriptions... I am only looking for people who are in the United States, US Virgin Islands or in Porto Rico... as you can see I know who my market is.

Lets take this one step further.... If someone also wants to make money by simply passing out Free RX cards.. they too can make money... just like me and I will let you in on a little secret.. I make money when the people who they give a card to use it..... It really does not get much easier than that. DO I work at this... of course. I have to tell people about it so they know what I have to offer.

Now let me think who could I share this information with that would not only benefit from it but would be in a position to help people by offering this card... you know one of those win win win all around..... An Insurance agent would be a perfect person to tell... because they are in a position to know if their client pays for their prescriptions and could use this card to get a discount.... Of course anyone who wants to can passout these cards and make money but if I were trying to target the perfect person to PASS them out it would be a person who would know who needs what I have to offer.. does that make sense?

Talk about a target market for both the buyer and the seller so to speak.. sure beats throwing spaghetti. How do I do this.....? I still think they very best way of getting info out is through blogging and posting articles.... learning the correct way to use keywords.. doing your homework and all that type of thing.

In addition to passing out cards there is another way to make money when you become an agent with this Company... It is much more hands on...but if you find that you enjoy helping people you can get paid to help them with their DME... (Durable Medical Equipment)... There is no insurance license needed for this. just a sincere willingness to work. ..and you can not be employed by a pharmacy.
