Tools needed to ensure a proper end of tenancy cleaning
by Gold Marry Content writerWhen you are
cleaning the oven, you will need to get some store bought
cleaners to take out the toughest grease. Note that store bought chemicals are
different, soyou could just check for instructions.
However, if
you care about the environment and will want to use something more eco-friendly,
then some baking sodacould do as well. Just add some water to the soda, and you
will create paste.
To clean the
oven, take out the racks, put on safety gloves, and coverall of the oven walls.
Make sure that you are careful with the heating element of the oven as well, so
you don’t damage it or hurt yourself. When you are done with the cleaning,
leave the oven overnight. When you wake up the next morning, spray the oven
with some vinegar and some light foam, then wipe it all away.
The walls
If you have
marks on your walls, then you can easily take them out with some sugar soap. Just
add some of the soap to a bucket of water and use a non-abrasive cloth on the wall to take out the
marks. If you have dents on your walls, then some wall putty will come in
handy. Let it dry for a few hours, then you can sand and repaint it.
To purchase paint,
ensure that you take some of the existing paint to the store in order to get a
perfect match of the color. Note that larger holes could also be fixed with self-adhesive
mesh and putty from a hardware store near you
Mirrors and windows
Windows and
mirrors can easily be cleaner with washing detergent then dried, before being
cleaned off with some glass cleaner. When it is all said and done, wipe off the
glass cleaner with some newspaper, as it will reduce the streaks and provide
for sparkling windows and mirrors.
You should also
use a wet cloth to clean the blinds in order to avoid having to spread dust
before you wash the window. If you have outside windows and you will like to
wash them as well, see to it that you do so with soapy water first.
Lastly, wipe your
blinds with a wet cloth to take out any dust before you clean the windows.
The bins
Take some
disinfectant or household detergent and pour it into a bucket. Fill the bucket
with hot water, then scrub bins with an abrasive cloth. Also, if you will like
to use an eco-friendly option, then pour some cups of the vinegar into the bin
and just add water. Let it soak for a few hours, then scrub the bin clean
Shower
Just getsome
vinegar paste or shower foam to wash off the soap scum from your glass. You can
scrub mold out with an old brush nd also clean some other hard to reach spots
with old toothbrushes. See to it that you clean out all hair particles, and if
you have to use chemicals for anything, make sure to do so in moderation.
Toilets
As for the
toillets, keep in mind that you will be cleaning inside the toilet tank. To
clean simply or remove any mineral deposits, get some vinegar and pour it into
the cistern, then leave it overnight before you flush it.
However, if you
will be doing more work, then turn off the water to the toiles and drain the
tank. Ensure that you wear gloves, then clean the empty tank with a commercial
cleaner or bleach
