Places To Visit In Gurez Valley

Dawar: It is a small town in heart of Gurez Valley. There is everything available in the town such as market, atm, hotels, banks, hospitals, etc. It is a group of small villages and they are closely located to each other.

Tulail: A few kilometers from Dawar, you will enter deep into Gurez Valley there is a small village called Barnoi. Chakwali Village is 60 kilometers from the Dawar through Tulail. 

In the Tulail Valley Kashmir, there are several beautiful villages between Chakwali and Dawar such as Sheikhpura, Achoora, Hasangam, Angaikot, etc.

Scenic Beauty: The Natural Beauty of Gurez exists all around. The valley will leave you spellbound at every spot. Snow-clad mountain peaks, Music of the Kishanganga River, cold wind, dense forests, and wooden houses.

Kishanganga River: After climbing down from Razdan pass, you will see the stunning Gurez Valley. The Kishanganga River is flowing through the Gurez Valley. You can do rafting and fishing in the Kishanganaga River. Another activity you can indulge yourself in is camping on the banks of the Kishanganga River.

Razdan Pass: it is one of the highest passes between Srinagar and Gurez. It is located at a height of 3300 meters. The pass offers you breathtaking views of the mountain peaks. Stop here to see the stunning views and amazing photography.

Khandiyal Top: Another beautiful location to observe Sunrise and Sunset and offers a 360-degree view of the entire Dawar tow. You must go up the hill to reach Khandiyal Top.

Best Time To Visit Gurez 

The best time to visit Gurez Valley is during the summer season. In summer the Valley is full of its bloom and provides breathtaking views from all around. During the months of summer from April to September the weather here is pleasant. For enjoying snowfall, you can plan a trip from January to March. It is the best months to enjoy snowfall.
