The Process of Treating Salt Water Into Fresh Water Using Coal Fly Ash as Zeolite

by Rudy P. SysAdmin at howtofindthemoney
Desalination refer to any of several processes that remove some amount of salt and other minerals from saline water. The process of treating salt water into fresh water or commonly known as desalination can be grouped into three (3 ) types : distillation process, ion exchange process , filtration proceeds.

Coal fly ash is a solid waste of coal combustion products in the industry steam power plant coming out of the chimney in the form of fine powder. Fly ash is distinctive circular form of fine particles with a diameter 1-100 lm containing silica and alumina as the main component of the crystal and amorphous components . The main component of silica ( SiO2 ) and alumina ( Al2O3 ), which is chemically according to the components of the zeolite framework .

Zeolite in the desalination process is the main ingredient used as ion exchanger . By re-using waste coal in the operation of power plants can be produced zeolit4A . The method used is an alkaline hydrothermal treatment of fly ash mixture is heated with an alkaline solution ( KOH , NaOH , etc . ) In the variation of reaction time , temperature , and pressure. Use of zeolite a nice little affect many will be produced water quality process but also must be so.
