Energy storage hydraulic ball valve is mainly used in large- and medium-size hydropower stations. It is installed in front of turbine as inlet valve. It is connected with pressure steel pipe upstream and volute inlet pipe downstream. On the one hand, when the turbine or generator needs to be repaired, safe repair can be performed by cutting off the flow of water in the pipeline. On the other hand, when an abnormal situation occurs in turbine or generator, the water flow can be quickly and effectively cut off, preventing accident from occurring.

Energy storage hydraulic ball valve can be used in medium that contains sediment. This valve can only be used as sanitary shut-off valve. It can’t be used to regulate flow.

This type of valve has small flow resistance. Special ball has a simple structure, with features such as small size and light weight. The operation is easy. The opening and closing are quick. It only needs to rotate 90 degrees to switch from the position of fully open to the position of fully closed, which is easy for remote control. The maintenance is easy. The sealing ring of hydraulic ball valve is active. It’s much more convenient for disassembly and replacement. When fully opened or fully closed, the sealing surfaces of ball and valve seat are isolated from the medium. When the medium passes through, it will not cause erosion of the sealing surface of the valve, which ensures a long service life.
