The spinoff movie of Expendables is reportedly under planning and development, and it also stars one of the original cast of the original film. Jason Statham, one of the most popular and beloved Hollywood actors, is hired for the movie cast. It is now almost confirmed that he will appear once again in the Expendables remake movie. The Previous and original Expendables movie series was one of the blockbuster hits of the decade. They also earned a surprising collection in the box office, considering that the movies were not that much overly budgeted or too expensive. However, the storyline and performance of the stars like Sylvester Stallone and Jason Statham were up to the mark.

In case you loved the Expendables movies, then the new upcoming spinoff will surely entertain you, and it will renew your old memories of the 2010s. The Expendables movie franchise began way back in 2010 almost nine years ago, and the movie was about an alliance of trained combatants along with their leader Stallone’s character. The film also featured many other legendary action actors like Arnold SchwarzeneggerJet Li, Bruce WillisStatham as well as Dolph Lundgren.

Most of the actors cast of the movie were the legends of the 80’s action movies, whether Stallone and other co-stars. They decided to create a movie in which they appear as a team, and when the movie launched in theaters, it made a surprising new impression. Due to the success of the original film, many other sequels were planned to produce in the feature. The first movie alone made more than 274 million dollars worldwide, and it shattered the box office with such storyline and cast performance.

In the sequel, we got to see Jean Claude Van Damme, along with Chuck Norris, who did outstanding work altogether in the movie. Despite the success of the first and second movies, the third installment failed to impress fans as well as it became one of the overrated kinds of a movie with a bad storyline. The third movie was expected to get a buff in the collection, but it surprisingly dropped in the box office and only made 214 million dollars of worldwide collection. Even the Expendables 2 did pretty well among all of the installments as it made a whopping 317 million dollars. The third installment released in 2014 received a rating of PG-13, which was also a factor in reducing the audience’s interest in the movie.

In 2017 we heard that another sequel is being planned, and The Expendables 4 theory also arises in the same year. Stallone seemed that he might step away from the future installments after the failure of the 2014’s movie. However, a new report is saying that one of the core character played by Jason Statham will be portrayed in the movie. The site called The Illuminerdi explained that the upcoming fourth film would be an official spinoff of the Expendables movie series. The name has also announced The Expendables: A Christmas Story. In the forthcoming movie, the leader post will be now handed to Statham instead of Stallone, who has decided to leave the franchise.
