The environment is crucial for a studious atmosphere

by John B. Professional Writer

If you need absolute silence, choose a library as you will only find students like yourself, looking for quiet study time.
If you prefer to be alone in the quiet, study in your room or office, taking care not to be disturbed and avoiding distractions such as television or mobile phones.
If you can only concentrate with surrounding noise, you can study in a quiet bar or outside in a public garden.
You can study alone in your room with music that is not too loud.
It is also important to study either in daylight outside or in a well-lit room. You will not damage your eyes and will keep your mind wide awake.
In any case, find the place that suits you best, where you feel comfortable, where it is easy to stay motivated, focused and where you want to work. Once you have found this place, make it your usual favourite place to study.
Find the perfect time of day or evening for you. The time when you feel your concentration is at its highest.
2. Plan everything you need to study

It is important to plan ahead so that you don't miss anything to make the most of your time, so that you don't have to go back and forth to get a book that you have forgotten.

Think about all the handouts, books, notebooks, pens, markers and other working tools.
Don't forget, depending on where you are going, not to overdress but to bring an extra jumper. Ideally, you should not be too hot or too cold for better concentration.
If you have to work for several hours, bring a snack and water to keep your energy up and avoid getting tired, which will also allow you to take a short break from your work.
If you like to work to music, take an MP3 player with your favourite music rather than your mobile phone, which could be a distraction (text message received or an unexpected call) and disturb your concentration.
Try to be as tidy as possible to enable you to work methodically.
