by Sunoj Sharma Welcome to sunoj engineers, we provide a wide rang

If you’ve been invited to an MBA interview, congratulations! You’re heading for one of the most reputed courses that is highly pursued by everyone in the business sector. Here are some MBA interviews tips on making sure that you represent yourself in the most positive light possible:

1.      Do reach out to your interviewer in order to schedule your interview as soon as you can. It’s recommended that you do not wait until the last minute. You should remain flexible in scheduling and express your interest in the interview. Be friendly but maintain a certain level of respect. Don’t over-indulge in any conversation and refrain from cracking jokes which makes you look casual or informal about the job.

2.      Do practice for your MBA interview. Consider working with someone who is an expert in the interview process. Research about the school you wish to go to and express your interest for the college in your interview. Know about the kind of questions that are asked during the interview and prepare for the answers. Know what you have to say with ease.

3.      Do your research on the interviewer - Go through LinkedIn and do your research on the interviewer. Talk to the people who have undergone the same process of selection. Ask an MBA admissions consultant about what is required to impress the schools.

4.      Do dress accordingly for your interview. If you’ve scheduled a meeting to meet with your admissions officer, you should ensure to wear a suit. If you’re meeting in a coffee shop, you can resort to a nice shirt with a blazer. Do not wear very bright colours and refrain from wearing any extravagant designs.

5.      Do not arrive too early. You should be 10 minutes early so that there are no hassles to begin with. The interviewer should not sense that desperation in you. You should ensure to be on time and impress them with your punctuality.

6.      Do be yourself. Remember to be authentic. If they select you for being yourself, there is a higher chance of instilling a sense of faith and trust in their eyes. Don’t try to be someone you’re not. Don’t concoct stories and be as original and humble as possible.

7.      Do not be a broken record. You should be prepared to answer all the questions about why you want to pursue MBA and what makes you a desirable MBA applicant. Make your interviewers understand about how you can be an asset to the college.

8.      Do send a thank you note to your interviewer. This may seem old school but it always brings a smile on the interviewer’s face. This will also help you create a good impression in the minds of the interviewers. After all, everybody likes to be treated well. A thank you note will only help them take due notice of your gratitude.
