The natural sources have always provided the most nutrients to the human body and also helped the physiological system to heal from an illness or injury. The plants and herbs have been a vital part of medicines and used for centuries to treat common ailments. Essential oil is one such natural product that is helping a human being in dozens of ways. Essential oil is extracted from plants, and tough not all plants have it, but most do, and the extract is usually found in the roots, stem, leaves, and flowers of the plant.

Essential oils not only various health benefits for humans, but there are many potent essential oils safe for animals. The essential oils have a characteristic aroma which is also its essence. Pets are quite common and found in nearly every house. People love their pets which can be a cat, dog, horse, or a parrot. Cats and dogs are one of the favorite choices when it comes to pets, and both these animals get very much attached to their owners that many people include the pet in most of the things they do. It is seen that many people share their food with their pets and give them other things they are having. The cats and dogs have an acute sense of smell which is why many essential oils are irritants for them and have toxic reaction on their bodies. However, there are many essential oils that are deemed safe for the pets, and the essential oils safe for animals are categorized according to the type of pet you have. There are some essential oils that are good for your cat, but the same essential oil makes the dog uncomfortable and vice versa.

The best essential oils for cats include

·         Spearmint oil

Spearmint oil is similar to peppermint oil in terms of uses and fragrance. The spearmint oil can be used to treat diarrhea, nausea and also control metabolism

·         Cardamom oil

The cardamom oil helps cats with improving their digestion, stimulating appetite, ease the heartburn and reduce the coughs

·         Frankincense oil

One of the best oil for cats is frankincense oil which improves the immunity system, fights with cancer and act as an anti-depressant

·         Helichrysum oil

The Helichrysum oil has many benefits and has anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and antioxidant properties. It decreases the bleeding in cats if they have suffered an accident

The essential oils safe for dogs include

Ø  Lavender oil

The lavender oil is best for dog odor, and it is best topical treatment for burns and skin allergies

Ø  Chamomile oil

The chamomile oil has an anti-inflammatory element that helps to treat burns, wounds, and skin irritation in dogs

Ø  Peppermint oil

The peppermint oil helps to remove the fleas in dogs and relax the sore muscles. It can also be used to soothe stomach upset

Ø  Cedarwood oil

The main use of cedarwood oil is to repel the pest that irritates the dogs. It also supports hair growth and improves function of the lung.
