How to Throw a Great Birthday Party (Without Breaking the Bank)

by Sarah Peter Contributor

If you know that you would like to throw a birthday party, then you certainly have a lot to think about. After all, you have to think about the venue, how many people are going to come and even the theme as well. If you want to get some wonderful hints and tips, then you can find some right here.

Set the Menu

If you are hosting a party, then you do have to take note that food is required. It doesn’t matter whether you take everyone out for a meal or whether you want to have some buffet food for everyone to nibble at when they arrive, because you do have to cater to anyone who is a vegetarian and you also have to think about anyone who has any other special dietary requirements as well.

Cake

No birthday would be complete without a cake! If you have never thought about having a cake before, then think again because when you have a party, it is great to give everyone a slice to take home with them and it is also great to try and show them that you appreciate them being there. If you have no idea what cake to go for, then find out what the person’s favorite cake is and even hire someone to take care of it for you. You can then get it decorated to suit the theme, which leads us on to our next point!

Theming

When you are trying to figure out the theme of the cake, try and think about what your personal interests are. Photo booth rental is a good option if you want to really have some memories of the party and it also helps you to take some fun photos using props that are to do with the theme as well. If you are not quite sure how to choose a theme then again, resort to your interests, what is your favorite movie? What themes have you had in the past? What collectibles do you have in your home?
