The Bustling Metropolis of Faridabad

Its history starts with its establishment. The city was established in the year 1607 by Shaikh Farid. He was a Sufi holy person and locals frequently used to call him as 'Baba Farid. Much of the industrial development in Faridabad has in-fact taken place around the Mathura road.  This road forms part of the NH-2 or the GT road and connects NCR with the city of Mathura in Uttar Pradesh. The road is now awash with corporate offices shopping centres. There are also many good hotels in Mathura Road suitable for both budget travellers and business travellers.
