The Bustling Metropolis of Faridabad

Faridabad is situated in the state of Haryana. It is a main Industrial Center and Situated in the National Capital Region flanking the Indian Capital New Delhi. Found 284 kilometres south of the state capital Chandigarh, it is the most crowded city in the territory of Haryana. The stream Yamuna shapes the Eastern District Boundary with Uttar Pradesh. The government of India has included it the second rundown of Smart Cities Mission list.

Its history starts with its establishment. The city was established in the year 1607 by Shaikh Farid. He was a Sufi holy person and locals frequently used to call him as 'Baba Farid. He was additionally the treasurer of Jahangir, the Mughal emperor. The primary plan to set up Faridabad was to ensure the Grand Trunk highway road (National Highway-02 now). Afterward, the city was reported as the Headquarters of Pargana. Mughals were administering Faridabad in that period. However later in the early time of eighteenth century Britishers assumed control it. 

In the year 1950, amid the season of India Pakistan partition, keeping in mind the end goal to restore the exiles of Pakistan, foundation of ventures occurred in the city. This was the establishment of mechanical improvement in Faridabad. Further, it started to develop and grow slowly when an ever increasing number of displaced people from Pakistan started entering India. Faridabad was a sort of place which was considered as a bounteous for working people. When, it was a part of Gurgaon District, however it was isolated from it and declared as a different area. On 15 august, 1979, it turned into the region base camp and furthermore twelfth district of Haryana. 

The city drives the whole nation as a large number of known and  little and vast scale businesses like Lafarge, Yamaha, Whirlpool, Escorts, Imperial Auto Pvt. Ltd., Havell's, Bhartia Cutler pound, L and T, Khaitan, Class India and numerous others are arranged here. Aside from huge scale, there are around 25000 little scale businesses situated in the city. Apart from these, the hospitality industry has also emerged as a major player in the area. There are now many hotels in Faridabad.

Much of the industrial development in Faridabad has in-fact taken place around the Mathura road.  This road forms part of the NH-2 or the GT road and connects NCR with the city of Mathura in Uttar Pradesh. The road is now awash with corporate offices shopping centres. There are also many good hotels in Mathura Road suitable for both budget travellers and business travellers.
