The Adverse Effects of Plastic Use: What Can We Do About It

by James Mark Wish you all the best

The long-lasting and adverse effects of plastic use can be imagined by the fact that it is affecting every living individual. Be it the humans or the marine life, the excessive use of plastic is creating worse scenarios for all of them.

As per the studies by Science Advances, until now humans have used around 9.2 billion tons of plastic. Out of these 9.2 billion tons, around 6.3 billion tons are expected to stay intact and never be recycled. This is leading to massive damage to marine life as most of the plastic is disposed off into the seas and oceans.

As the plastic do not decay in whatever the case, it creates worse environmental changes that are harmful for any living object or individual. Around 90% of the total plastic is mostly disposed into the seas and stays floating on the surface.

As a result, the sea life and creatures digest the microplastics leading to death. Not only the sea life but also we humans are not safe from the microplastics too. There are great chances the microplastics may mix up with the water and reach us in the form of mineral water.

As far as what we can do to prevent the adverse effects is concerned, many companies have joined the hands to implement the preventive measures to minimize the effects of plastic. Especially the company by the name wesellbottles is taking quite appreciative steps to make positive use of plastic and avoid the hostile effects.

We have to step up together and do the work on our own end first to prevent the damaging effects. The first and initial we could take is to replace the traditional bottles with reusable ones. In that way we could reduce the production of plastic bottles per year to as low as 170 bottles.

Adding to that, there are several ways through which we can reduce plastic usage to the minimum possible limit. All we have to do is to stand up side by side and individuals should play their part respectively.
