Samsung is the Sole Guest at a Foldable Party Event

by Alicia Brown Application Developer

In just a few years, Samsung surpassed all smartphone market competitors. In 2022, when intelligent tech giants' successful products are selling at a reasonable price, it is the perfect time to celebrate the launch of their new foldable phones. The latest news about Samsung unravels exciting details associated with a brand-new list of foldable smartphones, probably this year. So, let’s unravel what is stored for us at this party.

Tomorrow, Samsung will host a party with a few guests; its foldable phone announcement. However, there will be some new smartwatches and Galaxy Buds; also, the Z Fold and Z Flip are celebrating their birthdays. Although they have been around for a while, their most well-known model helped them advance in August of the previous year. Since Samsung doesn't have to deliver any of these delights, it's doubtful that we will witness any shocking price reductions or significant enhancements this year. Nowadays, the famous smartphone brand rules the foldable phone market and will probably reign over its competitors for some time.

Samsung Foldable Smartphones

Samsung is the only name on the guest list for this foldable party, and this event is designed specifically for them by simply removing the fear of competing with their rivals’ line of products. Unless we forget, the Fold and Flip's previous models were rough, pricey, and not robust enough. However, they improved. The Z Flip 3 and Z Fold 3 from a year ago felt virtually normal, with enhanced usability and increased water resistance. Because of its durability rating, you can perform this job with Fold 3.

On the other hand, the rest of Samsung's rivals are either stuck in early design revisions or don't seem to be at all. Before completely giving up on mobile devices, LG vowed to release a bendable phone. The 2020 Motorola Razr has to be updated since it is too big and heavy. TCL boasts a significant concept game, but has not yet produced a foldable available for purchase. These competitive brands try too hard to get a fair share in the market, but lack superb designs to attract their target consumers. Some foldable smartphones cause memory issues, forcing users to install phone cleaner apps to improve their device performance.

In 2021, Samsung delivered over 10 million foldable devices and held an 87 percent market share. Samsung should undoubtedly rejoice, even if it only represents a small portion of the smartphone market. Even though it only makes up a small portion of the smartphone market, there's still cause for celebration.

Foldable Party only for Samsung

Regardless, why does Samsung want to throw a party now? It's a business that has made the most of its unique position to advance the foldable experiment. It could afford to fail for one reason initially; the final device that Samsung released was only somewhat better than the first Fold, which was a complete failure. Start, pause, and then resume reboot; the cost of an experimental niche gadget is high. A smaller business like TCL presumably can't take the same risks as Samsung, which reportedly sells enough refrigerators to insure something like this.

Additionally, Samsung has the ideal business culture to lead the way in foldable technology. Apple won't introduce a phone with a series of sleek experimental designs and shaky long-term chances; this brand will launch when it is secure. Google just discovered a way to create a flagship phone without a fold, and it doesn't appear like they are in a rush to release one.

Bright Future for Samsung

Samsung is prepared to take a risk and stick with it, primarily through the early growth stages. As we have seen in recent years, none of the earliest folding technology was flammable. Moreover, unlike the traditional slab design phone, no prototype is available for constructing an excellent folding phone. Although Samsung's strategy isn't the only one, it is the most effective way to advance while their rivals are all back at the starting line.
