Google One New Phone Backup is Official Now!

by Alicia Brown Application Developer

Google One, in case you don’t know, is a cloud-based subscription service by Google. The Mountain View company looks for a long way with Google One. Put simply, all Google accounts (Google Photos, Google Drive, Gmail etc.) collectively lets you enjoy 15 GB free storage space which extends to an additional 100 GB or more when a user upgrades the membership for Google One. Seems compelling? Users can keep their significant data at one place and enjoy more peace of mind.

Now, a new perk has been offered for your cloud storage subscription service. The search giant has rolled out ‘automatic backup’ features for Android smartphone users today. The new feature has taken the standard service of free content transfer to the next level. The standard backup features already let its users keep the backup of their important stuff such as call history, photos, videos, text messages, contacts and apps that are placed on the cloud. On top of that, Google One subscribers will also be able to backup original quality photos, videos and MMS with this subscription.

In the first place, to get started with the value-added new experience, all you need is to head on to the Google One app from the Play Store and subscribe to the membership. The application has the Device Backup functionality that you may use when you need to set up your new Android device.

According to Google, the new subscription service will be readily available to the members this week. Furthermore, the most compelling facet is that you can share the service with your 5 family members too and they can avail it on their own Android devices to get the automatic backup.

As far as pricing is concerned, the Google One membership starts at a minimal $1.99 subscription fee per month for 100GB of data, which is not a bad deal at all. And the storage plans can be expanded up to 30 TB as per users’ requirements. So now when your smartphone is dropped, snatched, broken or whatever - the data you love is safe & sound over the cloud subscription service “Google One”.
