strain of the root canal. Most people are seen crying because of the pain
caused in their tooth or teeth and this is because the pulp inside the root
canal gets infected.
In order to get them out or treated, the sufferer has to
undergo a root canal treatment in Noida.
Dental Cure and Care Centre is one of the best clinics to visit for problems
associated with teeth. But before we proceed further, let us understand the
concept of root canal treatment.
To be straight, a root canal is not a treatment. We know
many of you may have raised your brows with this statement. Well, it’s a part
of a tooth- basically, the hollow section that consists of the nerve blood
vessels, nerve tissue, and other cells, also called the pulp. Typically, a
tooth comprises a crown and roots. The crown is situated above the gum, while
the roots are below it and attach the tooth to the jawbone.
Pulp is located inside the crown and root or the root canal.
The main work of the pulp is to nourish the tooth and provide moisture to the
surrounding elements. However, the nerves in the pulp sense temperatures (hot
and cold) as pain. The specific dental procedure which is mainly known as a
root canal is actually a therapy called endodontic which means ‘inside the
tooth.’ However, the root canal is the common name that everybody refers to.
Basically, the root canal treatment is done in three steps,
namely- cleaning of root canal, filling the root canal, and adding a crown or
filling. In the first step, the dentist administers local anesthesia with the
help of a syringe or needle, to make the affected tooth numb. Then, he/she
excludes everything from inside the root canal. Later, the endodontist makes a
small access hole on the tooth’s surface. Besides, with the help of very small
files, he/she removes the diseased and dead pulp tissue.
The next step includes filling the root canal. The dentists
clean, decontaminate, and shape the hollow area using irrigation solutions and
tiny files. Later, they fill the tooth with a rubber-like material called
gutta-percha, using an adhesive cement to seal the canals entirely. On the
completion of root canal therapy, the tooth becomes dead. It means that the
patient won’t feel any pain in that particular tooth since the nerve tissue and
infection have been removed.
However, the tooth now becomes more brittle than before.
Because the tooth is without pulp now, so it must get its nourishment from the
ligament that connects the tooth to the bone. The supply is definitely
adequate. But over time, the tooth will get more fragile. Therefore, it’s
important to provide protection to the treated tooth and a crown or filling
will do the same. Until the crowning or filling is complete, the patient is
advised not to bite or chew on that tooth. After the process is completed, the
person can use his/her as earlier.
After the treatment, one is advised to take good care of
his/her tooth. You may require an additional visit to your dentist to make
everything is fine. Besides, you must go for cleaning and examination of teeth
twice a year. Therefore, to avoid any such situation, we should take good oral
care and brush our teeth with a good toothpaste twice a day. This helps in
restoring calcium in the teeth and prevents them from cavities.
Besides, root canal treatment, a few people lose all their
teeth after a certain age or due to carelessness. In such cases, people need to
undergo complete denture where both upper and lower jaws teeth are replaced
with the new set of teeth. Dental Cure & Care Clinic is a complete denture
clinic in Noida that offers several other treatments related to teeth. We have
