by Reflux MD Acid Reflux Home Treatment RemediesAcid Reflux syndrome starts developing when our stomach produces
excessive stomach acid in course of digestion of the food. For addressing the
symptom and the syndrome, it is quite important to understand What Causes Acid Reflux.
Acid Reflux syndrome is often associated with cosmopolitan
stressful lifestyle disorder. People often found in a hectic urban schedule to
skip lunch or dinner substituting with fast foods over the counter. Instead of
having rice or chapati as the main dishes, they often opt for fast foods like
pizza, burger, pastry, patties, sandwiches, carbonated drinks etc. And when one
starts consuming too much of that in regular interval, it starts impacting our
digestive system in quite a detrimental manner and as resmannerur stomach
starts producing too much gastric hydrochloric acid. This is the root cause of
the development of hyperacidity and when hyperacidity happens frequently, it
turns to be a regular occurrence called Acid Reflux syndrome.
What are the primary symptoms of Acid Reflux syndrome?
When hyperactivity starts occurring in regular interval, the
digestive system is impacted quite severely. It affects the tissue lining of
the inner wall of the stomach and oesophagus. Not only that, the lower esophageal sphincter (LES) that is located between the esophagus and the stomach, is
badly impacted by the acidic content of the stomach. It gradually loses its
rigidity and starts leaving a gap between the stomach and the esophagus. The
acidic food content subsequently starts flowing upwards through that gap into
the esophagus and sometimes to the throat region.
As a result of that, people start having sour acidic burping and
regurgitation.
In many cases, they have quite an uneasy sensation in the chest
area which is called Heartburn.
And when acid reflux along with heartburn occurs quite often, it
is medically termed as Gastroesophageal Reflux Syndrome or GERD.
It is often found that a GERD patient loses weight in a noticeable
manner. The temperament of the patient is often impetuous. The instinctive
repugnance to food is often a common phenomenon for the hyperacidity patient.
These are the
most common Reflux Symptoms seen in the patient of
acid reflux syndrome.
