·        Windows 10 version 1809:

 

Intuit has tested and validated QuickBooks Desktop 2020 on Windows 10 1803. However, there are still certification gaps in QuickBooks Desktop 2017–2019.

 

·        Windows 10 version 1803:

 

All of the latest versions of QuickBooks Desktop (2017-2020) have been tested and validated on Windows 10 to ensure optimal compatibility and performance.

 

·        Windows 10 version 1709:

 

QuickBooks desktop 2017-2020 is also certified to run without error on this version of Windows.

 

·        Windows 10 version 1507, 1511, 1607, and 1703:

 

If you're using Windows 7 or Windows 8 (either the Home or Pro edition), you should upgrade to the latest version.

 

QuickBooks Desktop Versions Compatible with Windows 11:

 

On October 5, 2021, Microsoft revealed their new Windows 11 operating system. Intuit's QuickBooks Pro Plus, Premier Plus, Pro, and Enterprise for Windows II are all fully compatible with each other and with QuickBooks Desktop 2022. R3 additionally certifies that this is compatible software for Windows 11 64-bit.

 

How to Optimize QuickBooks Desktop?

 

No matter your Windows 10 or 11 version, you may not have .NET 3.5 Framework enabled. User experience will suffer. Enable this option for the smoothest QuickBooks Desktop experience on Windows 10. Enabling.NET Framework 3.5 for QuickBooks Desktop compatibility requires these steps:

 

        Press "Windows + R" at the same time on your computer, to start the Run Window.

        Type Control Panel in the textbox and press OK.

        Select Uninstall Program.

        Click now on Turn Windows features on or off.

 


 

        Check both options if you don't see the box in front of.NET Framework 3.5 and 4.5 enabled.

        Afterwards, click OK.

        Windows 11, 64-bit, natively installed (QuickBooks Desktop 2022 R3 or later).
