Highlights:

  • The Poco M2 Pro is a mid-range upshot from Xiaomi spin-off.

  • With the Poco M2 Pro, Xiaomi plans to take over Redmi Note 9 Pro.

  • It comes out with a big 33W fast-charging feature

  • It sports a cost-effective price point ranging between Rs. 13,999 (~$186) and goes all the way to Rs. 16,999 (~$226).

The Poco is an independent spin-off from Xiaomi’s brand. The company has recently announced its new, reasonably-priced smartphone with the name of Poco M2 Pro. The brand continues to broaden its spectrum of mid-range smartphones after its initial launch of Poco F1.

The Poco F1 pitched its way with high specs and low price in the past and Poco M2 Pro is also abiding by the tradition. Similar to X2, Poco M2 Pro is a mid-range smartphone. In fact, M2 Pro is a cribbed version of Xiaomi's worldwide Redmi Note 9 Pro that is focused on the Indian market. The design is pretty alike, however, a couple of modifications has been made to help it stand out from its stablemates.

Poco M2 Pro - Key Specifications

The key specifications of the Poco M2 Pro up its sleeve incorporate a Snapdragon 720G chipset combined up with 4GB or 6GB of RAM. Furthermore, there's a quad-camera setup at the back. The cameras are fairly adaptable as well and incorporate a 48MP primary shooter paired up with a 8MP ultrawide camera as well as depth sensors. Much the same as the Redmi Note 9 Pro, the 6.67-inch 1080p LCD display at the front incorporates a 16Mp central punch-hole cutout pattern for the selfie camera.

Users can definitely buy Redmi or X2 in comparison to the Poco M2 Pro. And nobody will confuse the M2 Pro's spec sheet with that of a leader, yet it could be a convincing choice for buyers who have more emphasis over the battery life while purchasing a smartphone. If you’re among the one, go ahead with your decision to buy a budget-friendly smartphone - Poco M2 Pro. Copy files, pictures, videos and more from the previous smartphone to the new one with the help of content transfer application. There’s a 5,000mAh battery with a 33W fast - charger packed in the container; Poco claims that it can provide a 50-percent charge in half an hour, which is surely a welcome addition. This feature is prodigious for a phone under $200. As the Poco M2 Pro will be packed with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor, we can anticipate that this smartphone should stay alive for an entirely significant time-frame.

A unique fingerprint sensor is placed at the power button. The phone is accessible in green, dark, and blue color choices, and there are variants available with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of storage. A microSD card slot is also there in the hardware of the Poco M2 pro smartphone.

Poco M2 Pro - Price

The Poco M2 Pro will cost Rs. 13,999 (~$185) for a model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, Rs. 14,999 ($200) for 6GB/64GB, and Rs. 16,999 ($225) for 6GB/128GB. The smartphone will be available to purchase in India exclusively on Flipkart on 14th of July, 2020.
