by Shalini Sharma a passionate blogger

Without doubt Internet has taken a complete footprint in India and we all are enjoying the benefit. Students are reaping the fruit of Internet thereby with the help of search engines, average student has become very informative and true to the name of www (World Wide Web) all the students have become rich for updating their overall awareness.

Exam conducting bodies have totally exploited the above benefit and gone for online exams besides that the other benefit is that the exams have become paperless and in the bargain they have contributed towards better environment.

Questions which have similar or different sets and in one go all the centers are having minimum physical delegation with maximum output. The other benefit of Online is the transparency which has become very clear. The fast pace of online examinations have started a new era and particularly for MBA examinations CAT is the pioneer followed by most of the examinations which have gone online.

There are certain pros and cons with online examinations on the one hand exam conducting bodies like CAT, XAT, SNAP, CMAT, NMAT etc. are able to have more registrations of the candidates because application forms can be submitted online also. Whereas student prospective is slightly different and students still feel that sometimes paper pen exams can give little more scope of elaboration and this fact is vindicated by the fact that inspite of online XAT examination Essay has to still be written on a piece of paper.

Besides the above, online examinations positively create more challenges and not only the exam conducting bodies find some glitches during examinations but even students also find it a slight difficulty to recover from the error which might have occurred during the exam. Because most of the time the facility of the back and forth is not being given.

Although online examinations are popular but still most of the time post exams skill tests are physical and on paper pencil.
