Natural Treatment for Bartholin’s Cyst in Ayurveda

Bartholin’s cyst is also known as Bartholin’s duct cyst that occurs due to the blockage of Bartholin's gland. These glands are also known as major vestibular glands. Bartholin’s cysts are not an infection in itself but can be sometimes caused by infection. On each side of the vaginal opening two glands are present, i.e. Bartholin’s glands. These glands are of pea size and produce fluid that moistens the vagina. Blocking of these tubes leads to backflow of this fluid into the Bartholin’s glands. This building up of the fluid causes formation of Bartholin’s cysts. These bacterial infections can be Chlamydia, gonococcus, E. coli, Streptococcus pneumonia, and Haemophilus influenza.

Bartholin’s cyst is usually left unnoticed and undiagnosed for a long time due to insignificant symptoms. However, it is the pelvic examination that helps in the diagnosis of these cysts.
