Introduction
A process through which a woman finishes to menstruate or fertile is known as menopause. It can be considered as an ordinary part of life or not a condition or disease. Basically, it marks the end of her reproductive period.
As we all know a woman is responsible to give birth to a baby. She is born with a fixed number of eggs that get stored in the ovaries. The ovaries also create the hormones progesterone and estrogen that control ovulation and menstruation. The time of menopause to take place is when the ovaries stop releasing the egg every month and menstruation tend to stop.

Menopause Symptoms

Diagnosis of this thing is confirmed when a woman does not get a menstrual period for one year. Changes in the menstrual pattern can be the first noticeable symptom of menopause. There are chances when some women may experience a period in every 2 or 3 weeks while others may not menstruate for months at a time. A 3 to 5 year period that takes place before menopause is perimenopause where the estrogen levels of a woman will drop significantly and it will reduce the chances for her to become pregnant.

Those women who are affecting this condition will have different  Menopause symptoms like hot flashes. It can be identified as a sudden feeling of warmth which spreads over the upper body and often with some sweating or blushing. The harshness of hot flashes varies from mild in most women to severe in others.

Itching, dryness or discomfort of the vagina may be there at the time of menopause. Some women may experience pain at the time of sexual intercourse. There is an inflammation called vaginal atrophy which happens as a result of shrinking and thinning of the tissues along with decreased lubrication. There might be a disturbance in the sleep as it can be difficult for a woman to fall and stay asleep when they advance through menopause. Disturbance in sleep may also be caused due to anxiety or insomnia.

There can be some more hardships like problems in woman's urinary cycle as they tend to be more susceptible to urinary tract infections at the time of menopause, like cystitis. There can be signs of depression or low mood. It is because hormonal changes can often trigger mood swings and depressed feelings. Some women may also face short-term memory problems at the time of menopause and difficulty in focusing for long periods as it can affect cognitive functions like concentration.
Other effects like breast shrinkage, a formation of fat in the abdomen, sometimes leading to obesity and overweight, thinning hair or hair loss can be included in menopause. Such types of signs usually taper off over a matter of 2 to 5 years. Though the symptoms can go for long and problems like itching, vaginal dryness and discomfort can become constant and if not treated on time, the condition can get worst.

Menopause Problems

It is said that menopause happens after a woman passes the age of 40. But there are different cases in which a woman can go through menopause early, either as damage to the ovaries, like from chemotherapy or as a result of surgery like a hysterectomy. Premature menopause is called when a woman gets affected with menopause before 40 regardless of the cause.
