Material Quality Matters when Choosing Flanges Exporters from India

Materials for Flanges
You can find pipe flanges being manufactured in all sorts of materials like stainless steel, aluminum, cast iron, bronze, brass, plastic etc. but the most common material used is forged carbon steel which has machined surfaces.
Additionally, just like fittings and pipes, flanges for certain functions are many-a-times internally furnished with layers of materials of a drastic contrasting quality to the flanges themselves, and are hence called "lined flanges".
The material of a flange, is usually determined during the choice of the pipe, and in most cases, a flange is of the same material as the pipe for ease of construction.
Some standards have been allocated to flanges such as ASME en ASTM being globally known. ASME B16.5 describes dimensions, dimensional tolerances etc. and ASTM the various material characteristics.
Dimensions of Flanges
Each flange as per ASME B16.5 has a count of standard dimensions. If a draftsman in Japan or a pipe fitter in Canada or a work preparer in Australia is speaking about a Welding Neck flange NPS 6, Class 150, Schedule 40 ASME B16.5 [each flange is standard delivered with a raised face], then it goes over the flange.
For example ASTM A105 is a forged carbon steel flange, whereas A182 is a forged stainless steel flange.
