Malta Business Investment immigration

Malta is officially known as the Republic of Malta. It is one of the smallest islands located in the Mediterranean sea. The island is the 10th smallest island country of the world. It’s an archipelago. This island country invites all those high net-worth individuals to invest in the real estate of the country through there Malta Business Investment immigration program. Malta Citizenship by Investment Program

The future generations become Maltese citizens through naturalization (by birth). The person intending to invest in Malta through this program will have to be 18 years and above. This program can be availed by the whole of the family of the investor. The investor will have to make a contribution of Euro 650,000 into the Government bonds of Malta and purchase a house or invest in the real estate there for a minimum of Euro 350,000. In lieu of the purchase, the investor can choose to rent or lease a property for an annual rent of Euro 18,000.

Malta Permanent Residence Program

Maltese residency program was started in the year 2015. The investor who intends to avail this program needs to be 18 years and above. The investor will have to be a non-citizen of Malta who can show a legal personal net-worth of Euro 500,000. The investor will have to invest a minimum of euro 250,000 in Government bonds or invest a minimum of euro 320,000 in the real estate of Malta. If the investor doesn’t want to buy any property in Malta, he/she can rent or lease a property at a minimum of Euro 12,000 per annum. The investor who earns their permanent residency permit of Malta becomes eligible for citizenship of the country over a stipulated period of time. The investor will have to contribute a minimum of Euro 30,000 to a non-refundable Government bond along with non-refundable fees. It is one of the easiest countries to get PR in Europe.

Malta is a member of the European Union and thus a person with Maltese Residency permit can access the whole the European Union. Maltese passport is 9th most powerful passport of the world. Maltese citizens will need to pay tax on their world-wide income. However, their personal income is taxed at a progressive rate. If the investor invests an additional amount of Euro 500,000 in the real estate of Malta, then the investors’ parents will also be provided with citizenship. This is valid only for those investors who choose Malta Citizenship by Investment program. It is one of the most prominent European Investment Immigration program.
