Maintaining Your Mental Health During COVID-19 Crisis

by Vegan Culinary Cruises Luxury – All Inclusive – All Vegan
Let’s be real here: It’s getting kinda stressful out there.

Between the anxiety that the current pandemic is cultivating (not helped by exaggerations and falsehoods on social media), the economic setbacks that are putting businesses down and employees on edge, and the sheer ennui and uncertainty that comes from lying in bed at home, scared and ever thinking inward. Outside activities are discouraged, from movie night with your buddies to vegan travel expeditions to other countries or all-green restaurants.

All of this is...stressful.

Yes we’re repeating ourselves. This is why maintaining one’s mental health is important in this time of COVID-19, because while some of us may not be exposed or immunocompromised, the global change in normality is bound to affect us, emotionally and mentally.

Here are a few tips on how to make it:

stress-free

Plan for the future

We might not know what happens tomorrow, but we’ll be sure that there will be a day that this pandemic will end, that we won’t have to be afraid of going out again. Hope is not cruel or pointless. It is a tether that anchors you in a time when the world seems intent on blowing you away. Plan for the future. Think about your favorite vacation destinations and make an itinerary. Plan a time and place where you can meet your friends and catch up. Think about plans for going on culinary cruises, plan out anything that anchors on the idea that there will be a tomorrow.

Talk to people

Simple as that. Talk to your family, friends and loved ones remotely via video chat or Discord. Talk to the people you’re living with. Talk about anything positive, from your hobbies to your interests to your hopes and dreams. Don’t spend your time in quarantine alone.
